For the mun, I was just curious. Are you open to crossovers or would you prefer to stay strictly in the HP universe?
I actually don't mind crossing universes. (within reason!) I have done so in the past and firmly believe it's an interesting way to rp something new. (It's also highly amusing to stick Newt into another random situation.)

What would you have in mind?
She hadn’t expected to receive an answer from anything or… anyone. But it seemed that her childish way to deal with boredom has caught someone’s attention. Turning her head, Maddie found herself looking at a man in a teal coat and a suitcase on his lap, who seemed just as confused as she is. The man soon apologized and turned away, making Madeline smile and giggle to herself. “It’s alright.” She responded, now trying to figure out why this guy responded to her… Was it because he thought he had heard his name? Perhaps… She didn’t just want to ask him in case that would make the situation even more awkward.
“Is your name anything similar to what I just… said? –I’m sorry, I’m just incredibly bored and I tend to make random noises.” Rubbing the back of her head, Madeline awkwardly bit on her bottom lip and turned her head back to the man. He doesn’t seem as sociable as others, and she didn’t mind really. A lot of people are like that and they simply just can’t help it. “You’re not from America, are you?” Well duh, his accent is obviously British. He must’ve been here for a business trip, or perhaps a small holiday. She wasn’t in the right position to stick her nose into whatever he was doing, but she hoped that he, if he was a No-Maj, had forgotten about the chaos that went on in New York. For days on Madeline had been asking Olivia to check out what was actually causing all of the destruction, but the elder Witch told her it was for the best to stay inside until it all blows over.
“Yes..” He paused before turning to look at her again, smiling with the corner of his mouth for only a very brief second. Out of all of the random things to say it just had to be his name. Well, ‘Noot’ had sounded similar to it at the time. He of course realized his mistake now. “Please don’t fret about it, it’s truly okay.” He nodded once to confirm what he was saying. “It’s Newt. Newt Scamander.” he answered honestly, as he had done beforehand. Both hands remained clutched around his slightly rattling suitcase, but at least this time he could blame the ship. He hoped his name would explain why he even bothered to pipe up or answer what seemed like a call for him. As awkward as it was, they were never meant to engage in conversation and he had done just that. He offered out his hand, watching it, rather than her. He wanted to be friendly at least, she’d done nothing to give him any reason to be otherwise.
This woman seemed to want to engage in conversation and so, he turned his body to face her, so he wouldn't come across as rude at all. He however kept his head relatively low. “Britain. I’m on my way home now.” He answered. No, he wasn’t American at all. No where near it. It was then his case let out another grumble and he quickly retracted his hand, just to lean his entire elbow on the case, keeping it closed. He then re-extended his arm, smiling apologetically and hoping that action alone wasn’t too weird.

“Please Credence, I can help you.” The Magizoologist pleaded, his saddened eyes scanning the over the Obscurial. He began watching as the storm of negative magic began slipping down the wall, allowing the boy to surface once more.
He began approaching slowly, his hand gripped tightly on to his wand, the other extended toward the boy in question. In the daytime the subway station was a seething mass of humanity, but here and now, it was just the two of them, very much on their own.
Newt’s feet moved across the tracks, his arm still extended and his palm displayed as a sign of peace. The boy was a wonder, truly. Having survived for this long suppressing such tremendous power being suppressed inside him. A determination flickered in his eyes, a preparation to do whatever was possible to help the boy in front of him.

After all the shit that had happened in New York, it was Olivia’s idea to go and take a break from all the chaos. Not even realizing that all of it had just ended as soon as they got on that boat to head to the United Kingdom. “A change of scenery will do you good. And Hogsmeade is actually a really nice place.” The Witch said, grinning widely as Maddie didn’t seem too happy with the sudden decision to head out to Europe. Although she’d love to travel the world, this wasn’t the way she wanted it to go. “Stop moping around, it’ll be fine. –Why don’t you just take a stroll around on the boat?” At first it sounded like a suggestion, but when Olivia started to push the blonde around it felt more like a rule she was supposed to follow. Groaning and moaning, Maddie headed out with her shoulders low and dragging her feet across the floor. Hazel eyes gazing over the scenery around her, aside from the people and the endless view over the waters. It felt lonely somehow, despite being with Olivia on this ship, but with nothing to entertain herself with.
It already felt like hours being on the ship, Madeline got tired of walking around and sat herself down on a bench with her knees up against her chest and her hair in a plait. She hoped for Olivia to come and find her soon enough, but after waiting for another hour she wasn’t counting on it any more. She tried to distract herself by ‘eavesdropping’ on other peoples’ conversations without even caring much about the topic. It didn’t take long before she was surprised by the ship’s horn, its sound making its way through her entire body. As soon as this uncomfortable feeling had left her nerves, she childishly decided to mimic the noise she just heard.
“Noot noot.”
Finally, he had stumbled on to the boat, his fingers clutched around the handle of a suitcase. He stood, taking a deep breath before slouching himself down on to a seat that had seemed just like the one he had entered America on. This time, he was cautious. He kept both of his hands on the case, clutching on to the leather to keep his wonderful and now safe creatures contained. His case was rumbling slightly, and he knew he had to address it.
"Just once more. Hush now." Newt whispered softly.He wore a smile on his face, however, dreaming of the moment he could, in fact, hand his textbook over to Porpentina in person. It was an awkward promise, but it was one he was absolutely sure to carry through.He stared forward, prepared to wait for the duration of the journey home. He was more or less ignoring his surroundings, winding down after the events that had transpired. He couldn’t help thinking about the whole city, who had no idea of the chaos that had occurred, now, hidden completely.
It was then he heard something, another voice he wasn’t familiar with.It sounded like the voice had said his name and so, he turned his head instinctively.
“Yes?” The wizard questioned, looking at the blonde who had addressed him. He was a little confused, wondering how she even knew his name. Newt tilted his head a little, his brows furrowed slightly, waiting to hear whatever she had to say. He looked serious, his eyes scanning over her features, hoping he hadn't just heard his name in his mind.
"Oh, I'm awfully sorry." He said after a moment and turned himself around, ready to keep himself quiet once again.

Sorry for being away so long guys, I have finals in college and I want to get them out of the way before I start roleplaying on here heavily again.

“Nineteen twenty.” Newt informed her, tilting his head causally, “Yours?” he certainly was confused but not as much as the witch in front of him apparently. He had to consider, “I don’t suppose you have had a mishap with a time turner, by any chance?” he asked, knitted brows trying to get to the bottom of the confusion here.
It wasn’t common, but it wasn’t unheard of. Perhaps something had gone wrong for her. She certainly looked out of her own time. He never took offense to anyone insulting his outfit, mainly because he himself was rather fond of his coat and was never one to take anything said about him personally. He liked it, that truly was the end of the matter.
“Pardon, perhaps my assumption was way off base. I apologize. If you’re not okay, is there anything I can do to help you?” he asked, his expression softening once again. He felt bad, although there was nothing he could actually do about it.
Belle’s eyes shot wide with panic when he gave the year and her jaw gaped open. She looked around, and that back at her , no, his shack. It looked newer. The shack she remembered was worn down and falling apart, almost as if a breeze would topple it over. She had no idea when it had been built, but if it really was the twenties - Well, the shack wasn’t her biggest concern.
“Uh - Yeah, you could say that. I just had tried to go a year to uh - Nevermind that, but uh, wow, the twenties? Holy dick, I got myself into something. Uhh, well … Y’see I live in that shack - Well I eventually do, I guess, a good seventy years from now - Damn you would be really old or dead.” Belle ranted. She had a tendency to let her mouth run when she was nervous or otherwise in a bind, and that was exactly what she was doing then.
“So uh, twenties, twenties - That’s the partying decade. Shit, I used to joke that I would totally be a drunk flapper dancing swing.” She rambled and shook her head, smiling in a nervous way, almost laughing - Though not because she found her situation funny. She was laughing in a very scared and hysterical way, almost getting carried away by it. “Fuck, okay, so uh, yeah, how do I fix this?” Belle asked.
She did not know that time turners were used strictly to go back several hours - The consequences of going back years were often times grave - There weren’t any happy endings to people going too far back in time with them - Though Belle didn’t know that. She didn’t know much about them to start with. She just knew she had fucked herself over, and if anything else, at least she was in the decade of jazz.
Her language was something appalling, something he could rarely stand. The causal use of swear words had him turning his attention elsewhere while she had her moment. He knew she was worried, panicking so for that reason he wouldn't take her up on her use of the English language.
He could see it, this woman growing more and more panicked. He bit on his bottom lip realizing that time travel isn't all that common and can be quite frightening. She was frantic, practically hysterical and now even for a moment did the eccentric, antisocial author know how to deal with that.
“I want you to listen to me, take a deep breath,” He told her, calmly, his voice being just above a whisper. “Count to ten.” He added along with it, to ensure that she would listen, to calm herself. Not a single mind can think clearly under duress and panic. “Exhale.”
He wanted to make sure she could think this through so he could actually help her. He wanted to get her back to her own time, of course he realized how frightening this would be. “I’ll do what I can to get you home.” he assured her, dipping his head a little.
Belle shook her head. “I don’t know, you’re coming out of my shack, which is normal, I mean - I didn’t live here then - But uh, you’re clothes - I mean, no offense but they’re outdated, or I’m - Over dated? I dunno’, what year is it?” Belle asked.
Then she thought that maybe the time turner had some sort of date on it to help its users, but when she looked down at her hand which was holding it, it was crushed. Broken. Useless. And wherever she had sent herself, she was apparently stuck.
“Actually, I’m probably not okay - But I’ll still take the year.” She said softly. She tried to hide the gold necklace in her pocket, looking at him another moment. He did seem familiar. She knew she’d seen his face. He had the kind of look that made her think of history class, but she knew she had either met him or read about him or … something. That bewildered her almost as much as the fact that she had gotten herself stuck in whatever godforsaken year it was.

“Yes, I think the sooner we leave, the better for both of us.” Newt agreed, grabbing the little bottle from the top of his pocket, ready to produce a thick fog for the get away, only in case they were seen at all. It seemed however that he had to.
When people started to approach and become wearly, Newton through the bottle, smashing the content, which quickly spread a thick white fog, harmless but blinding for the others. "C'mon. We have to be fast." He gestured, leading for Kara in a certain direction.
Belle jumped some when he noticed someone standing near her - Had he been there a moment ago? ‘Of course not,’ she reminded herself. She was alone, in her little shack in the middle of the woods - Now she was by him. He looked oddly familiar, though she couldn’t place her finger to it. She straightened herself up, and then crossed her arms. Only then did she notice that not only was she suddenly with company, but that he was dressed very oddly.
“Y-yeah. Fine, I think.” She said. She gave him another look up and down, her expression showing that she was rather bewildered. She almost made a comment on his clothing, but reminded himself that many wizards and witches had an odd fashion sense - At least by her standards, having been muggle born.
“I uh …” She stammered, wondering what she should say to him, or what she should ask him. “What’s the date?”
He was close to asking, how it was she arrived in front of this little isolated building but he chose against it. The woman looked bewildered, almost as much as he himself did. Placing his hands in to his pocket, he nodded at her being fine, only to have his curiosity reignited by her addition.
“The date?” He asked, having to consider for merely a moment. “It’s May, the twenty seventh.” He informed her, unaware that she was also asking for the year. “What’s your name?” Newton asked, softening his expression to seem a little less intimidating, not that he was anyway.He just felt as though the new abundance of questions might throw the poor girl off, further than she already is. “Are you sure you’re alright?” The author asked, puzzled by her presence, her words and her questions. It wasn’t uncommon that a witch or wizard could wind up confused between using port keys, floo powder or any other method of transport, often brooms tend to be another method of becoming horribly lost. He didn’t want to think someone was in need of help and that it seemed like he were to blatantly ignore that fact.
