The 'bat2exec' isn't working out so well, the compiler turns batches into 'ms-dos applications', but they aren't as versatile as the original batches, very, very far from it, so I need to adjust my programs just to be compilable... and on top of this, there is a data limit to their environment variables, so mpg won't work at all, cause its gunna use HEAPS of variables... I'll try and work out my problems, until then, anyone know another batch compiler?

I'm considering perhaps making a group of planners for the API, it'd be basically a contact list for ideas and stuff, it wouldn't be very effective yet, cause I've already worked out what I'm going to for a while in terms of mpg, but I might also start some other projects. Comments?

I recently got BAT2EXEC, a really useful utility that allows you to compile batches into .com files, this for one thing makes the programs faster, a lot faster, which is useful in real time multiplayer games, and it is also un-de-compilable, (ununravellable) so I can start posting bits of code for testing without the threat of someone stealing my code. My next task in terms of the project is to experiment with BAT2EXEC to get to know how to use it, if it works how I want it to, then I can possibly make the batch more user friendly, but still secure and simple.

Okay, I'm done the coding, now I can start the coding! The exterior stuff is all done, so any code I make now will all be contributing to the actual game, which I shall call mpg.bat (or mpg.com to you) which is mmorpg, without the massive(or massively), the online, or the role-play.... so, multi player game. (It's going to involve more user input, but tasks are all real time, so its interesting)
While planning the long term future of my current project (which, I might add, I'm not making much progress in, (need more followers! (more inspiration!!!))) I realized that by the end of it I could turn it into the Text API that I ditched to make this project, funny.

Progress is made, my batch can now write files to a predefined folder, and wait for a response, the name of the file is chosen randomly, so multiple can work simultaneously in the same folder, I also made the input for the username and password on the client side of it, I will probably include a compiled demo of what I've done.
Funnily enough, despite having made it already several times, this edition of the login/file writer took several hours to write, which is probably too long for a hundred lines of batch code... I suppose I was sick, but still.
There are 60 apples in a crate, it is important not to have any more than 60 apples in a crate, also, if there are any less than 60 apples in a crate the apples will be bruised, and this is not good, similarly, if there are any more than 60 apples together outside of a crate, things are not good either. One must treat the crates with the exact same conditions, no more than 60 shall be in a container, nor shall be less in a container, and one must not have over 60 crates outside of a container together, the containers should be in groups of exactly 24 with no more than such left alone. (The exception being every 1000th fleet, which should not contain an extra set, despite its divisibility by four.) These rules must always be followed, otherwise the very fabric of digital space and time will crumble! (Mostly just the time part)

STARTing a new project today!
So today I type "@echo off" yet again with my latest project, the network idle game! The name says it all, its basically a device that can host multiple players or send controls to one of these hosts, it will send back the games data, and everyone will be able to play, it will use files for data transfer, so it can work over a local network. It would also be possible to get some other code to pipe the files, for potential internet connection.

So batch programming started for me one morning when I opened my dusty little terminal screen and typed in 'help', since then I've just been practicing the commands that it showed me, and now I use batch as my only programming language, unfortunately a lack of encouragement gives nothing to stop me from giving everything up halfway through, so all I have to show for it is a bunch of half-developed programs, but they are worth something.

Officially releasing a blog today! This is where I will be sharing my coding endeavors, and doing all of that blog stuff, about, batch files. First of all, I'll be introducing myself, and figuring out the tumblr ui, and then I shall be a normal, yet unusually undedicated blog hoster! Haha!
