A Very Short Headcanon of Hotaru & Usagi
“(sigh)” Usagi was laying on her bed, feeling depressed. “It’s been awhile since Mamo went to college, and I don’t want to bother my friends at the moment.” Usagi went to her window and look at the stars. “The moon is full tonight, it’s so beautiful… I really want some company.”
“Usagi, your friend is here.” Usagi’s mother called her as Usagi was going into her bed. “I wonder who could that be in this hour?” Usagi wondered. She went to her front door and open the it, it was Hotaru. “Hotaru, what are you doing her- wha?!?” Hotaru immediately hugged her, slightly tearing up. “Usagi… could I spent the night with you?” Usagi was very, very surprised. Hotaru never acted so lonely in front of anyone in awhile. “Of-of course you can.”
Usagi let her in, let her change into her pajamas, and got into her bed. “Why did you come, are your parents worried?” “They’re having an argument again, so I ran away.” “Oh geez, how on a sec.” Usagi sat up and reached her phone. “What are you doing?” “Don’t worry Hotaru. Hello Setsuna? Hi it’s Usagi, listen Hoatru is in my house spending the night, if it’s okay with you… uh-huh… uh-huh… okay… thanks, she’s in good care. See you tomorrow.” She turned to Hotaru. “I talk to Setsuna, don’t worry, she saids it’s okay.” Usagi smiled at Hotaru.
They both sleep throughout the night. Usagi will make sure that Hotaru wouldn’t be afraid or upset. She never stop cuddling her.
I’m not pretty good with headcanons myself, but this is something that I imagine a nine-year-old Hoatru would do. She vows to protect the princess, but she also wants the princess to protect her. I just wish we can get more interactions with Hotaru and the inner senshi.

I made this post 4 years ago, and it’s getting traction again, so it’s been brought back to my attention. In those 4 years, I’ve learned more about the term “crackhead”, and how it is heavily racialized and used most often by (non-black) people as an anti-black term. Because I made this post originally with only ableism in mind, I wanted to bring more information forward on what I know now.

The word “crackhead” was formally coined in June 1986, a few months before Congress passed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, enacting harsher punishments for crack-related offenses. And, to be clear, blackness was conflated with “crackheads” from the term’s inception. The originating source, a June 2, 1986 Time article titled “Crack: A cheap and deadly cocaine is a fast-spreading menace,” stated that “more than half the nation’s so-called crackheads are black.”

Literally sitting in my car bc I don't wanna be around my mom. I'm torn between driving somewhere and having an adventure by myself and sitting in my room bc I'm sweating like a pig in this car. But I can't drive long distances by myself bc I fall asleep at the wheel alot, but ijustneed a break from my friends. Robert Eads was a transgender man who transitioned later in life and as such it was deemed inadvisable for him to seek sex reassignment surgery. He was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1996 but was refused treatment by more than a dozen doctors, some for personal reasons and others on the grounds that taking him on as a patient might harm their practice. When he finally found a doctor to treat him in 1997, the cancer had already metastasized to other parts of his body, rendering any further treatments futile. He passed away in 1999. His life and death was the subject of the award-winning documentary Southern Comfort (2001).
As i’m sure many of you have heard, the Trump administration just passed a ruling that would remove LGBT+ anti-discrimination protections in health care and health insurance. I immediately thought of this man’s story when I heard about the ruling. Stories like this are the reason why those protections are necessary.
It’s easy to feel hopeless with all the bad news our community has been bombarded with recently. But we have to keep fighting, and one way we can fight is through legal means.

- be kind to others, but especially other women! nobody likes a girl who is constantly putting other girls down
- try to incorporate more dresses & skirts into your everyday outfits if you don’t already
- write thank you notes
- sit with your knees together and your ankles crossed
- don’t gossip, it’s unkind
- be positive & look for beauty in everything. don’t put yourself, or others, down.
- always choose dressing up over dressing down
- focus on your posture
- say please and thank you
- keep your voice gentle (and especially try not to speak over others)
- avoid being attention seeking
- in general, try to stay classy and feminine while still staying true to yourself!
