Field work wasn’t the problem. He was aware of the jokes about him and natural light, and even made them himself sometimes, but in all honesty it wasn’t really a that bad. Field work meant new samples, new subjects.
It also meant traveling to the field. That was the problem. Anywhere with fields worth working meant an extended period of barreling through the sky in a fragile metal coffin a sneeze away from a firey death.
William hated flying, and the handful of sleeping pills wasn’t kicking in quite fast enough. The sleeping pills would have a hard time working with all of the fire and screaming and tearing metal. With this much noise he’d barely be able to tell if the plane were to ….crash?
The plane crashed didn’t it.
Taking William into the field with him always led to something unplanned. Not always but the majority of the time. This time however turned into a huge problem real fast. One they won’t be getting out of any time soon.
Not even the usual sleeping pills could stop William from annoying him. All the while moaning and whining about planes that could end up crashing. Maybe if William had kept his mouth shut, this wouldn’t have happened.
He could almost hear the ‘’i told you s-’’ .
The loud ‘’I knew it’’ brought him back to reality. He cringed at the loudness in his ears since William was just to the side of him at the back of the plane.
Yes, the plane did end up crashing. Luck was definitely on their side since they managed to survive. What an experience. Wesker had a cut on his forehead and a bigger laceration to his left bicep. His body also ached but he would be fine and also heal in time.
‘’I don’t want to hear it.’’
