I'm Prussia or Gilbert Beilschmidt, I'm not gonna even bother saying much since you all know how cool I am. Instead look at this hot photo I took of myself! (ooc: This is a inde RP blog for Prussia and the mainblog of bacaztatry. Thanks for visiting~)
I normally dont adress drama posts but i feel like i need to set the record straight. I will most likely not respond to this since im on hiatus due to my keyboard not working right. I saw a post saying anyone who makes their muse part of the stasi is automatically a nazi apologist and is only doing it to be quirky and cool. I feel this is highly unfair. My muse was a informer but this because i am trying to show how pervasive this terror was and how ordinary people were caught up and part of it and even partly culpable. This isnt a one way street, even though he was an informer he was spied on by the stasi too, being both perpetrator and victim, used and using the state, like many people. I refuse to whitewash the crimes of the gdr or ignore them and i am highly aware that the spy activists conducted destroyed or ended people's lives and i make my choices about my muse with that full knowledge and am serious about it. I am not doing it to be cool or edgy but to highlight a reality. In addition to that yes the stasi employed ex nazis but if that is enough to make a mun a nazi then people with america and west germany muses are nazis too as those nations also employed and integrated ex nazis in positions of power and influence.
I dislike this black and white rhetoric where if someone does x they are automatically y. It would be better in my opinion not to assume things of people's morality or assume creative choices are endorsements of muses. Thank you for reading and listening also please do not reblog as i can only speak for myself anddont wish to make a fuss
To me I think Prussia is actually a rather manipulative person and both knows it and isn't ashamed of it at all. Hima said hes a man who will do anything it takes to survive and i think thats key to understanding who he is and how his mind works. Ever since he was very young his existence was precarious
From the start he was forced from his original lands and had to make his way and negotiate and try to find a new place for himself, going from acre all the way to the baltic lands. Â And even then things were not stable, he was surrounded by warfare and other bigger powers for all of his existence. So to him manipulation is simply one tool he can use to ensure his own survival and the well being of his people, its nothing to be ashamed of and if he does so well he takes pleasure in that fact due to how it would to him show his growing power and superiority and therefore secure and guarantee that he will continue to have a place in this world. Its not that he has no values though, truth and honor are not things he thinks highly of or values that he possesses. However he is determined, intelligent, cunning, strong, hard working, diligent, and hard on himself, in the sense that he shouldn't be weak or show weakness and to him not being willing to manipulate for some high minded idealistic value like honor would be a weakness, one that would put himself and his own people at risk and therefore unforgivable and intolerable. Also really this is the same guy who tried to sabotage austria by writing a fake book in canon and historically edited a letter in order to incite France to war
âWhy does no one ever admit Iâm hot or even good looking? I mean really, but at least youâre not denying the other shit so thatââs something.â Which he could handle at least since prided those qualities over his looks, though he sincerely felt he had looks regardless.
ââŠGood point, and arenâât you one of the best? Unless youâve gone soft, I mean, who the hell knows right?â His tone was casual, however he was purposely trying to annoy her and be a bother. He felt rather smug, but then he felt her rush by him. Taken aback for a few seconds, his was mouth agape, but then his expression quickly shifted to a frown as he rushed to the rink, attempting to outrun her.
She gasped, looking playfully offended. âMe? Gone soft? How dare you, my dear brother! I would never! Iâm as hard and as sharp as ever, probably even more so, after all thatâs happened. I am one of the best, if not the best, and I plan to stay as such until my dying breath.â
She laughed as she ran. She could hear him starting after her and she picked up her pace, determined to win. At least she had startled him enough to give herself a head start. But he had the advantage of a longer stride. Winning would require more than just speed. She turned sharply to her left suddenly and jumped over some boxes sitting between two vendor stalls. She would take a bit of a short cut to rink. Letâs see him keep up with her now.
âI dare!â he shouted after her, a wide smirk on his face. He was confident he could beat her despite her head start and he was indeed quickly catching up. His plan was to go straight so she surprised him by her shortcut. She was far ahead of him now. He tried to calculate if he could take it as well and decided to try. He was quick, however the element of surprise was on Lilyâs side. Still he w wasn't going to give up and was gaining ground for his efforts. They were almost to the rink now, but she was still ahead.
This time he did notice the change in expression in her face and the growing excitement in her eyes. He was pleased to find her reaction was just as expected and hoped this at least would promote loyalty and make her more subservient to him. That was the only way in which to avoid any trouble which was the last thing he needed and it was the only way he could gain what he had lost.
Her words thrilled him as well. He paid no mind to her embarrassment, since he was more concerned with drinking up the words he craved after falling so low in the years past. He felt his mouth curling into a snide grin. âIâll hold you to that, you better make sure you keep your word, since I donât forget promises like that. Iâm glad youâre finally beginning to understand our situation after being a fucking idiot. Everything going on will be for our and the peopleâs good in the end.â That made it all worth it, their eventual success.Â
âMeanwhile the world is full of nations that hate and wanna get rid of us, which will happen if you disobey me and fall for their lies. Thankfully youâre smart at least and yes, one day I will be the greatest. Iâll be on top and iâll be back in my rightful place after all those bastards trying to bring me down. Everyone will see me the the rightful and real Germany too instead of that traitor and fascist over there on the west,ââ There was some bitterness in his tone and his words were said more to convince himself than anything else.Â
By now Gilbertâs mood was greatly improving due to the praise from Lily and from his own words as well and her next words added to that. âIf I didnât Iâd be a fucking idiot. Itâs my responsibility after all, the real question is will you actually listen and obey me from here on out? Like I said everything is for the greater goal of us surviving and triumphing over the machinations of the west. If we do that weâll bring glory to ourselves and our people right? Things will get better too eventually, for all of us. Cause see whatâs happened with my good efforts? Because of my loyalty and handwork while i was in Russia weâve finally advanced a little and taken a big step. We need to continue on that path, both me and you. And no more mistakes,ââ he said in a more stern and hardened tone.
She no longer cared that he called her an idiot. She had been awfully stupid a year ago, after all. She deserved that and everything else she had gotten as well. But that was done now, a thing of the past. She had screwed up, but she had been so young then as well. The lessons of youth could be harsh sometimes, but she would take them all in stride, now that she was to be a proper, official capital.Â
Smart. He had called her smart. She wouldnât soon forget it. That was the closest she might ever get to praise from him. She couldnât stop smiling at this point. âI know. I know theyâre nothing but dirty, selfish liars. I see that now, and I wonât ever forget it. Iâll only listen to you, I swear. Iâll do whatever you ask, if you just help me be the capital I need to be. I want to succeed. I want us to be at the top. I want to prove myself.âÂ
She hadnât intended to say that last bit out loud, but what could be done? It was a thought that had plagued her for years now, ever since she was old enough to start to really understand what was going on, and what it meant to be in a Cold War. It was why she swore to herself to never fall for a mistake like the Uprising ever again. She could not escape the thought that she just simply âwasnât supposed to exist.â Every other German rep, even on their side, looked down at her with disgust. Yet here was Gilbert, the head of all of them, and he was willing to take her in and put her on a path to success. She would never waver in her loyalty to him now, not even at gun point. He was giving her the chance of a lifetime, perhaps quite literally in her case.Â
âWhatâs our first lesson? When can we start?â she asked in a soft tone, to show she was ready and eager for it all to begin. âWhat do I need to know to be your capital?â
â+Thatâs what I want you to remember from now on. I know you know that you owe your existence to Russia, but Iâm alive because of him too," he said pointing at himself. âSee after the war the West blamed everything on me and tried to get rid of me, but really it was that western Germany, that fake Germanyâs fault.â Bitter and angry, he didnât really want to call Germany Germany anymore but he had little choice in the matter.Â
Then he got closer to her, his voice lowering as if he was telling a secret and a slight smug smirk crept on his face as he spoke. âI actually even think he might secretly be a fascist, but those imperialist capitalists donât give a shit about who they support as long as they get to take down communism."
Then he grew louder, sounding passionate and almost angry. âThey pretend theyâre all for freedom and democracy but itâs a pack of lies. Iâm asking you to remember that too by the way. You can prove yourself by doing that and keeping your head down and doing whatever I say. The bullshit that happened in the past, before you were born, is still on your shoulders, thatâs why. Show everyone youâre a good, better, truer, and more right sign of a new start. Thatâs why Lilyâs such a great name. It's like a new spring time for me, a new hope, thatâs what you are.â
When he had named her that hadn't been in his mind, but now that he had seemingly accepted his new role, now that he had swallowed the propaganda fed to him in the hopes of moving forward, it gave him new hope and made him want to push forward. Lily and her name were further signs of a chance to make things better.Â
âYouâre too late, this is our first lesson. Iâve just schooled you on why youâre so important and why you canât fail and be drawn in by the lies of the fascist west. You have to be that new beginning. Also I want you to listen to our anthem three times before you goo to bed and three times after you wake up every damn day.ââ That was a little much perhaps, but he didnât care. That was the point, plus the anthem's words and melody always got him fired up and happy. He felt it would do the same for her too. It would be burned into her brain and remind her of what was important.Â
âAs for any other lessons, itâs more of a day to day living, following my and any other superior's orders and not fucking up and fraternizing with any western trash...unless you have anything else youâd like to do to prove yourself?â
I never considered this to be a headcanon, more like basic how-Hetalia-works canon fact, but lately had a small chat with someone that made me realize that this actually can be just my HC and not everybody sees Hetalia that way, so Iâm publishing it :)
Headcanon: Human representations of Nations are a rich, complex mosaic of culture, economics, politics, history and many other things, even geography and weather conditions. All that goes into the culture - behavioral norm, fashion, pop culture, books, music, cinema, language - add up to a Nationâs human personality. Because of this, if a Nation falls in love with another Nation, that means they also are in love with all those elements. Of course, even when you love somebody, you donât have to like each and every part of them, some things may irritate you, but in general, you probably are fond of the personâs personality.
In Nation-terms that just means they are in love with the culture and want to consume a lot of stuff from that place and intensely enjoy it. Even when they canât be with their beloved one-on-one, reading books, watching movies or listening to music that comes from them is a way too fell closer and they simply like it because they think itâs excellent.
This kind of fascination with another Nation doesnât have to mean romantic or sexual love tho, it can be a sign of friendship or a platonic crush.
What is really not possible, in my headcanons, is a Nation loving/liking another Nation Spirit, but disliking most of their culture. In human terms that would mean that although you like Annie, you donât really like how Annie acts, speaks or behaves which doesnât make much sense. In the same vein, if one Nation deeply dislikes another, they will dislike their culture and country - tho there can be exceptions, in the same way, you can dislike Annie, but still enjoy her cooking.
This gets complicated if Nations start off liking each other but due to political reasons stop. All their affection for the cultural things of the other doesnât just disappear overnight and it creates an unpleasant and disconnected experience of not liking the person anymore, but still appreciate a lot of their stuff. It can be compared to a human experience when you really dislike a person but still think they are funny or smart - not cool!
Headcanon: Prussia was born left-handed. Due to superstitions of the times, he was forced to learn to both write and fight with his right hand. He trained writing with his left hind in secret. He also trained to fight with his left hand, tho this did not have to be a secret - medieval people were superstitions, but they also recognized that warriors have to be well versed in different types of combat and shielding to survive.
We donât really have good historical sources for this, but it is quite possible that fighting with oneâs left hand was permitted - one of the oldest martial arts âinstruction manualsâ, the Fiore dei Liberi from 1400s, mentions fighting both left-handed and right-handed opponents as if it was to be expected.
I headcanon that Gilbert would be allowed to train with his sword using both his hands, so he can have that edge, bc his bosses mostly cared if he was effective.
It worked, he was a master swordsman but the fact that he could change the sword hand at any moment during the fight really threw his opponents off and made him especially dangerous.
Today he can fight and write with both hands but chooses to use mostly his left one as it comes just a bit more naturally to him. But in general, his ability to train himself in using both his hands equally well is a hallmark of his discipline.
This is very late and took me forever but Iâll still post itÂ
happyhetaliavalentineevent day 2: slow dance.Â
read here on ao3
âThis is just  like old  times,â Prussia said.âYou, me, and oh yeah Austriaâs here tooâŠand his husband, well that partâs new.â He glanced at Austria and Hungary on the other side of the room and then turned his attention back on  Russia.
âThereâs the little  one too,â Russia  said, eyeing Germany standing next to the wall, awkwardly looking at the dancing guests  unsure of what to  really do. âBut which old times?â
Prussia glanced absentmindedly at his brother and then turned his attention back to Russia once more. âOh  yeah him,  but you and me both know Iâm the one in charge, â Prussia said smugly.  âAnd you know, the Holy Alliance and  before that when we kicked Polandâs ass and took what land was rightfully ours,â he let out a  bark of a laugh at  the  memory. âGood times!â he leaned in slightly towards Russia and  added, âWhen  shit calms down and foreign relations allow it I wouldnât mind doing that  with you again.â
Russia didnât get it, âAnd with those two?â
Prussia frowned, âI mean if we have toâŠbut  just us is  ideal.â
Russia mulled the proposition over and said, âI suppose I wouldnât be opposed  to that under the right circumstances. Austria is rather annoying after all.â
Prussia laughed, âYou got that right!â and as he spoke a dancing couple passed  them by. âSo you like dancing?â
ââHmm, I simply prefer to watch.â Attending  was already far too much social version for his taste, even if he could be rather graceful despite his size.
âOh  thatâs too bad. I love that shit, but you wouldnât even wanna dance with me?â
Russia gave him a disdainful look, âIf you love it so much why not dance with one of the many women here?â
âHa ha, it was just hypothetical, Â you took me so seriously itâs like you wanted me to ask you. Most people do though,I mean itâs me.â Except Prussia had not been bluffing, but no one needed to know that. âAnyway the women here are too boring for me, theyâre not worth my time.â
âAnd yet here you are talking to me.â Russia said.
âYes, because youâre actually interesting, almost as much as me, but not quite. You know if there were no women here at all I would  actually ask you for real.â
Russia was both bemused  and puzzled. Youâre very oddâ
Prussia just asked, âSo youâd say yes?â Russia remained impassive, âWho knows, such a situation would  never happen regardless. Perhaps  keep your hopes on an alliance only.â
âWell thatâs what I really want  anyways. I love dancing but I love alliances even more. And theyâre more special too,â Prussia grinned after saying this, then added a wink, both of which puzzled Russia even more.
â
years later Gilbert,  thinner and dressed far more casually, was sitting Russiaâs living room flicking though his phone. Just then Russia came in, though from the way he ignored Gilbert was clearly occupied by something else. âHey, youâre actually here! Hey, hey lets hang out, letâs do  something, not cause I wanna but because youâre clearly deprived of me.â
It was only then Russia looked at him, âIf you say so.â
Prussiaâs face fell slightly, âAre you busy with important shit?â
âHm, well there was simply something on my mind.â
âMaybe you need a break then" Gilbert said, patting the seat next to him. âI mean working hard is good, but sometimes you gotta let a engine cool down so it doesnât overheat.â
âI suppose thereâs  some point to that,â said Russia after a pause and  then  going over to Gilbert and sitting down next to him.
âYou know I was just thinking-ââ
âHow terrible,â Russia said, a slight mischievous tone in his voice.
âVery funny, but I was just thinking of the past and myself and sometimes you too. I was  reading the wikipedia about  our alliancesâŠ.because the random links I clicked  lead me to it, and I was looking up something important beforehand  and not killing time,â he added quickly.
âHmm, if you say so.â
âYeah, so I was reading about that and remembering. Wasnât it great being allies and dealing with diplomatic shit and manipulating others so that we could maintain a balance of powers while still being powerful and influential ourselves and steering the course of destiny of Europe to our iron wills? My blood gets all boiled and excited just thinking about it.â
Indeed Russia noticed  how Prussiaâs eyes lit up with a fire that had once been so common before and how his voice became faster and filled with more joy and passion. Now he too was nostalgic.
âI remembered something else too during that time,â continued Gilbert.
âOh? What was it?â
âRemember right after the alliance of  the three emperors we had this ball and I was there and you were there? And I remember i asked you about dancing.â
âYes, I do happen to recall that.â He did indeed remember, after all it was not so long ago even if it did  seem like a whole other world to him now.
He remembered  the bright glowing lights, the laughter, and talk that flittered about them. He  remembered the colorful gossamer gowns and the sharp step of black military boots as the people around them danced  romantic waltzes or lively mazurkas with the music filling the air with life and passion. He remembered glimpses of smiles, sighs, blushing girls, young solders, bored statesmen, all filled with life now withered away and vanished into the mists of time and memory with only the latter remaining. Meanwhile Russia himself sailed inwards on the oceans  of the former leaving them all behind as the ghosts of the past, only  able to look back with a bittersweet pang in his worn heart.
He also remembered Gilbert,
No, rather he remembered Prussia,,
He remembered him as he once was, filled with power and authority. Not as the fractured shadow of that past which was  beside him now after essentially selling his soul in a desperate but futile bid for survival to become what he would be decades later.  Yes he remembered that long gone Prussia well.
The presence beside him was now worn and withered away, despite his still present ambition and cunning. But  he recalled the ambitious, hungry, and cunning look in  his devious eyes and how  they both intruded and made him wary. He had been a  power worthy of both taking into consideration and of being cautious around.
He even remembered how he had  dressed; in his dark military uniform, form fitting and sharp on his body and bedecked with his military medals, with the Iron Cross and the Pour le Mertie taking the place of pride and prominence  right on his chest.
He remembered too his offer and in fact  recalled it with regret, regret at the fact that he had turned him down, but also regret at the knowledge that acceptance would have been impossible as well. That time was gone, receding into fog and overtaken by tragedy, violence, hope, and failure. It would never return and was utterly impossible to resurrect it. Those lives with their hopes, dreams, ambitious, and loves, along with that Prussia he had once known, had been snuffled out and stifled, one by one, some fading away and others  with violence and force.
In the end it did not matter. They  were left behind, and it  was his destiny to go on ahead alone. There was sorrow in Russiaâs heart, but he revealed nothing.
âWhy do you bring it up?â he asked.
âI was just thinking, you turned me down back then, but would you say yes now?â
It was not the same and yet- âI suppose it wouldnât do too much harm to indulge you.â A hint of a soft smile was on his lips. âHowever itâs not much of a ball with only us no music.â
Gilbert waved a hand in dismissal. âWe only need us and thatâs what the internetâs for!â And with those words and a few taps of his fingers  his phone was on youtube playing one of the songs that had been new so long ago. âMaybe we canât do a mazurka, but a waltz is good right? Hey hey remember when waltzes used  to be scandalous?â
Russia mused that it indeed almost seemed quaint now.
Gilbert got up and pulled Russia up from the sofa. âOk, ok Iâll lead!â he said, holding the nationâs hands in his own.
âOh?â Russia said. âArenât I taller? Iâm  afraid Iâll have to lead. I think Iâd be unable to dance with a smaller partner leading.â And although he masked it Russia was amused at the inevitable win he would achieve for he was right and Gilbert knew it.
âThatâs not even  fair,â Gilbert pouted.
âbut itâs very fair  I  should think, not t hat either of us are ever concerned with  fairness much.â
âOk yeah, but what do I get out of this?â Russia pretended to look surprised as he drew Gilbert closer to himself and slowly began to waltz with him . âOh? Iâm surprised you donât know, the fact  that iâm even dancing with you in the  first place.â
Gilbert scoffed, âIâm not that desperate, or desperate at all.â
âIn that case I suppose itâs best if we stop then.â
Well really he was that  desperate and so Gilbert quickly  said, âBut we canât stop now, itâs too late! weâre already dancing and the musicâs playing , so we have to keep going.  I guess cause Iâm so generous to you Iâll just let you lead then, so be grateful to me.â
There was  a smug grin plastered on his face but Russia ignored this irritating sight and merely said, âVery well.â and then the two danced wordlessly, with only the music surrounding them. Â
It was Gilbert who broke the silence, âDo you wish we could have done this back then, even  in private?â
There was more silence  between them, but then Russia said,  âItâs useless to wish for the impossible.â It was only right after he spoke that  it hit Russia that that was now what Gilbert  spent every day doing. âBut I suppose it would have been nice,â he added and thought privately to himself, âto be with you as you once were.â
ââYeah, it wouldâve been interesting,âGilbert said. They continued to dance, gazing into each otherâs eyes as they did so.âBut at last we got to do this now,â But it just wasnât the same, and they both knew it, even if it remained unsaid.
Notes:
The League of the Three Emperors was an alliance between Imperial Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Russia in 1873 and lasted until 1880, it began at the behest of Bismark and ended due to conflict between Russia and Austria Hungary. Later in 1887 Prussia would enter a short alliance in Russia with the Reinsurance Treaty but would not go on after Bismark's death.
I headcanon Prussia as the one in charge and with the power of Imperial Germany, with young Germany being a sort of puppet figurehead he controlled and tried to guide, it was the first world war that lost him that position and put Germany himself in charge.
âHoly shit, it really has been thirty years. Thatâs actually kinda depressing.â At least the thought that he no longer was really a nation for that long was  depressing, but this wasnât about him. â But forget that. You know, if I suspected someone I would keep it secret to myself so I could gather info without them knowing Iâm onto them. Is this guy really my brother? Iâd vouch for you, cause I think youâre fine but I donât think theyâd think me credibleâŠI could try though. Want me to try? Maybe I can um, tell him off too.â His first instinct was to fight Ludwig in order to get him to be quiet but something held him back from offering that.
He kept his eyes on her as she paced and then crossed his arms and sighed. âYou seem really torn up about this, but I donât blame you. Look, I wasnt gonna offer but if talking doesnât help I will fight him to get him to shut up if you want me to. Iâm on your side though, I donât see a reason to doubt you. Maybe Iâm biased but I think thatâs the truth. You keep working hard despite this ok?â
She stopped her pacing and met his eyes. There was a lot behind her expression, things she couldnât say out right. How much the decades had pained her, even now, when it was finally starting to numb. How much these rumors were getting to her. It went beyond just the struggles at work. At times, she really worried there may be weight to them. Not that she could take over, but the thought that she might try, and wind up losing everything as a result, possibly even her own life. Finally, the relief upon hearing Gilbert express, not just concern, but faith in her, which meant the world to her.
She walked over and hugged his right arm, pressing her face against his shoulder. âI know I shouldnât want it, but I wouldnât mind watching you kick his ass. If I tried without provocation, heâd have me killed for sure. But heâll listen to you. Probably, at least. He wonât retaliate at any rate.â She squeezed his arm briefly. âThank you, Gilbert. Youâve always been there for me, ever since the start. I donât know what Iâd do without you.â
He looked her right in the eyes and saw how troubled she felt. He couldnât blame her, since it probably felt all her hard work and efforts had been for naught. A part of him was also a little annoyed at the endless suspicion and he wondered if anyone had any such feelings for him as well.
However before he could get sidetracked with thoughts about himself Lily hugged him and in response he ruffled her hair and let out a laugh at what she said. ââBut why shouldnât you want it? Want it all you want and maybe,ââ he said doubtfully. While age and being Ludwigâs older brother was on his side he often felt like he wasnât taken very seriously generally, which bothered him but he knew Lily was right on one thing, nothing would happen to him. âWant me to bring it up? If a fight happens Iâll tell you too! But hey itâs no problem I mean weâre a little stuck together at this point right? So after some thinking I figured we should band together and stick up for each other.â
âIâm only 830, thatâs not old. The other guys in Europe are way older. Theyâre the old men and youâre just a little baby, but thatâs ok,â he said as he patted her head with a smug look on his face.Â
Her last words are so sweet it warms his heart and he just smiles. Then he says, âLetâs goâŠto the zooâŠ.and get ice cream and other sweetsâŠyes now. I wanna see animalsâŠand you have to buy me doner kebab and currywurst too oh and cake!â
She scrunched her nose. Gilbert was one of only a handful of people she would allow such condescension from without consequence, and he probably knew it. âYouâre an old geezer, and you know it. For all we know, you might start walking around with a cane tomorrow, you Old Stork.â
She nodded and put her hands in her pockets. âThe zoo it is. And yes, Iâll get you whatever you like. Like I said, itâs your birthday. Today is for you. Letâs take the train. Itâs probably faster than the traffic at this distance. Well, maybe. I suppose we shouldnât put too much faith in Deutsche Bahn.â
His grin just widened and he patted her head again. âBut if Iâm a geezer what are the other guys in Europe? I mean besides young guys like West. Anyway Iâm not convinced.â
âThe Deutsche Bahn disappoints me every day. You should have seen when I first built the trains, they were great then and way more cutting edge...uh, for the time, but yeah letâs do the train anyway. Wanna pay cause itâs my birthday? Huh, huh?ââ he said as he nudged her. ââ Letâs get our ice cream after the train too.â
Oh my god, itâs the best birthday ever, except for the first one they celebrated together. Popping open the beer, he grins. âAre you sure you donât need help? I donât mind, not at all.â
âââHmmm...hmmm...no, no I can do it on my own. Let me show off one hundred percent for you! Then you can tell me how cool and great I am.â Though he does take a beer right before he starts baking the cake.
âOk, if you say so. Not my fault if itâs not true. You get a last chance to change your mind before Iâm back though!â -And with that he goes to get the beer-
While Gilbert is out, Ludwig sets up the living room for proper chilling out and fun. Plus the dogs get fed
Heâs back quickly enough with plenty of beer. âHey West, Iâm back. Here, kick back and have one while I make your best cake ever.âHe ruffles his hair and hands him one of the beers.
ââŠâŠIs that it? I can do that anytime too, today, tomorrow. I need like a birthday present, something you buy with moneyâŠ.unless you can entertain me enough to convince me otherwise.â
âHa! I tricked you. The truth is, I actually haveââ She opens her purse and digs through it for at least half a minute, before producing a 7-Eleven paper bag. âA real birthday present!â From her hand to his it goes. The chocolate glazed cream doughnut in the bag. âHappy birthday!âÂ
He contemplates the gift for a moment as he decides if heâs satisfied with it or not. However in the end he takes the bag and takes out the doughnut. âOk, this is good, Iâm satisfied more or less. See it doesnât take much to make me happy, just a little tribute.â He then takes a bite, âNot bad, not bad.â
âOk, if you say so. Not my fault if itâs not true. You get a last chance to change your mind before Iâm back though!â -And with that he goes to get the beer-
