Sharing this in case there are OLIVIA fans who didn't know because I've been a fan for 10 years and didn't know this! I was craving OLIVIA content and found old fansites that said in fall 1997 Komuro Tetsuya asked her to join his new unit MUSEUM with rapper Marc Panther. According to Japanese Wikipedia TOGETHER NOW was allegedly her audition for this unit and he liked her vocals so much they recorded three songs for this potential unit and planned for a spring 1998 debut right after she left D&D. For some reason plans fell apart and they didn't debut. I guess that makes sense why there was such a long stretch between her solo debut and D&D's last release, I also always thought it was weird Komuro pulled OLIVIA for one song and never worked with her again despite praising her on every show they were on together and pulling her to perform in China with him during her break between D&D and her solo debut. The unreleased songs were released on Komuro's compilation album in November 1998 before OLIVIA's solo debut. She sings on three tracks, WELCOME TO THE MUSEUM, Dreams and Empty Lies. They're all on Nicovideo under the title "小室哲哉　TK 1998 LATESTWORKS　【作業用ＢＧＭ】" I'm actually happy this unit didn't debut because OLIVIA is featured so little in the first two songs you'd think she's a backup vocalist.

Wow that's so interesting, I knew about the vocal features on the Tetsuya Komuro songs but not much else. I'm glad she had as little affiliation with him as possible, I feel like it would have stunted her career even though together now does have a little soft spot in my heart.

Hey, just wanted to say I love your blog! Been a huge fan of Olivia for a very very..very long time. Seeing old photographs of Olivia in D&D made me want to check out their music! My only claim to fame as an Olivia fan is her posting a screenshot of my congratulations when her music finally came to Spotify- on Instagram.
