My December Lessons:

1. Don’t get attached to ideas and hopes; don’t become infatuated with the excitement or the novelty. Because the moment you do, is the moment you will get hurt, and you will never be ready for it.  2. It’s okay to call a doctor last thing on a Monday because you think you might need some help.  3. You can carry pretty deep wounds within you, but if you can make peace with those regrets, you will understand what love really is in this slippery life.  4. We are all trapped in the ambition to fulfill what it means to be human. You don’t need to prove to the world that you are something abstract, obscene, feeling - some forced, desperate antithesis of what you fear. You become something rare and magnificent only when you have broken through and mutilated all conflicts of self.  5. Get lost in the tragedy of memories. They can be some of the most beautiful remains you have of people and of yourself. 6. My hearing is weak because my love for sound is greater. I love that part about myself with all my might.
