you don't understand i wanted soooo bad to put Beatrix in futch fully. like she got a buzz cut in awwp and went for the whole thing. By the end she's more or less the same but c'monnnn. In my head she is and that's all that matters. also agatha is soft butch there is no debate. she can't commit fully to butch because she likes it when Hester calls her princess (once again in my head). i did try to base some of this off canon stuff but a lot of it is my own headcanon. what can you do.

Ok but the Rafal mirror thing is so clever actually, given how important mirrors are to Agatha? They could have picked any way for him to be trapped/appearing to Sophie but they picked a mirror. For Agatha, a mirror represents the pivotal point in her arc and her self acceptance, whereas here it seems that it's Sophie's downfall and corruption. I suspect Rafal is really going to start to get to her when she rushes to the MIRROR (!!) to check on her new, Lesso-cut hair. So really, if we're reading into it, it's Sophie's vanity and ego that gets the better of her and is the main trait that's indicative of her villainy, while Agatha manages to conquer her self-loathing and rise above it.

i saw the trailer and im being rlly normal about it. read my fourteen point post about it boy

the quality is amazing. so many adaption trailers ive seen have been so so shit trying to appeal to a larger audience!! this one holds up as an intriguing movie for people who haven't seen the books and makes book fans feral (not me tho obviously)

Another thing i really liked that wasn't really in the books is the brief snippet of Rafal in the mirror. wtf!? That was fucking amazing. what a good way to incorporate a) kit young b) this idea that hasn't really been explored of sophie and rafal being so similar in terms of their souls and relationships to siblings. could Sophie do what rafal did and destroy her good counterpart? also when he's in the mirror he may be reflecting her but he's also opposing her... Something to think about
