Maladesღ
The weather had been decent as of late, his mood however, had not been. He wasn’t healing up very quickly and on top of that, he was sick. He’d done his best to keep it from Gilbert and Alice, anyone really. He didn’t want to be a bother to anyone. But sooner or later someone would find out. Someone had to.
He was wishing now that he’d told Gilbert. Said male was no where to be seen. Not that Oz really got up from bed. He was flustered, sweating.. Breathing coming out in short, sharp pants. This was driving him insane, his head was hot and it hurt. The light hurt his eyes, thank goodness the blinds over the window hadn’t been opened. His migraine might have been even worse with the added light.
Ah, he had to find someone. Alice, Gilbert- Even Jack or someone he knew. He didn’t know how to deal with this himself. He was used to having someone around, as much as he hated to admit it.. So he threw the sheets from his body and stood. The sudden rush leaving him wobbly and nearly collapsing into the door. Thank goodness for door knobs, which he grabbed onto to stop and steady himself. His mid-section began to hurt but hey- As soon as he found someone he’d be fine. So, out the apartment door he went, stumbling down the stairs before heading outside. It was a little cooler out but he didn’t mind, he was sweating and some cool air would do him good right? His vision was blurring a little, ah, the brightness of outside made his headache worse.. He had to find Gil or someone quickly.
Hanging around in her apartment, it seemed typical that Alice was alone almost everyday. It was something she had forced herself to get over, considering going out and walking around the sectors would mean interaction with other pedestrians. And she really hadn't been up for talking to anyone other than Oz or Gil. So... where were they now? Who knew. But... finding food was essential, and she really didn't know how to fend for herself, or where to get food in the first place. Maybe Oz was in his apartment? Might as well go check. Bored, hungry, and a bit irate, she climbed out of her bed and walked into the living room. No roommates still. Sighing, the girl began to slip on her boots... when...
She blinked. Something wasn't right. She felt distraught... but they weren't her feelings. No. It was Oz's. She felt his discomfort. She felt him struggling. Luckily, when they all had been thrown into this stupid city, her senses hadn't been dulled at all, and the connection they shared hadn't been cut either. Not enough time to put on her boots, she dashed out of the apartment, cringing as she pushed her petit legs as hard as she could. Oz! What the hell was happening?!? She pumped her arms, rounded each corners. Crashing out of the building, she panned the core, hoping she'd get lucky and find him quickly. Running around, almost frantic, she, luckily, saw a tuff of golden among the rest of the pedestrians. Rushing towards him, she examined him, up and down. "Oz!" He was panting, and looked like he was about to collapse.
"What are you doing, you idiot?! Get back inside!"
Grabbing his hand, she dragged him back to sector 3, refusing to put up with any protests. What the hell was he thinking? She growled. My manservant is a complete moron!
♩♩ Out of Reach.
[ The rock hit.. and bounced off with no attempt to stop it. Dulled blue orbs keeping track of her opponent, though acknowledging it secondarily as it made contact with her sleeve flesh. She could notice it did hurt, but not nearly enough to be given any form of special treatment. It’d leave a dark bruise at best on a normal person, and on her, it’d very likely leave nothing at all as she’d heal long before that could possibly happen. ]
“Echo is…”
[ She muttered out to herself as the girl flaunted about to a nearby tree. Eyes growing bored and disinterested toward the other’s attempts. It wasn’t the worst move, however.. to arm one’s self in this situation was them admitting that they really couldn’t take their fists to a knife fight. But she was taking too long, and her opponent merely standing there to watch the entire sequence was a privilege she would not likely gain in the future. Echo was giving her a chance most would not. Head tilting to the side ever so slightly, watching. ]
[ They finally made their move, snapping the thick branch off and approaching her with it.. so in turn, she moved as well. Body slanting a little before she readily tightened her grip on her own wooden weapon and pushed forward on a white heel. She rushed the girl, ducking down when she gained closeness; Attempting to dodge any attacks thrown at her. ]
“Surely the victor.”
[ She twisted her own wrist, sliding the weapon up in her hand slightly before stabbing up upwards into the hunk of wood. Her weapon was finely carved and sharpened, while what the other girl wielded was a mere branch. A large one, but an un-sharpened heavy object that couldn’t be swung with much of any speed behind it. She was easily able to be the first striker, and disarming the girl was her first choice of action. The sharp, but still somewhat thick wooden blade sunk into the surface of the other’s weapon with great difficulty, and she forced her arm up to it’s limit while bent forward to raise the now captured weapon upwards. She was not one for upper-body strength, even when it came to this person.. who was also quite small. They were large than her in that area, with broader shoulders and more refined skills on that subject. Forcibly raising their arm was a difficult task, if she even really accomplished it at all. Still, she tried. ]
[ At the same point, she was sliding back her legs a bit against the ground with not only difficulty with her first action, but as she prepared herself for an attack. She tried to ground herself on at least one foot in her current position and swung up the other into the air. Kicking hard against the side of the other’s head. She was incredibly flexible, but even this.. all of this was difficult. Her body was at an off angle, and if she couldn’t push back the other with her actions, she guessed she would be physically stuck with her foot on their shoulder and rather useless. The attack was quite risky, she had to admit, but- Well worth a try knowing how small her opponent was. ]
[ She had to admit: Echo was a swift fighter. And as Echo moved to disarm her, she stumbled back a bit. Raising her heavy branch was difficult, and bringing it down to strike her opponent was even harder. She closed her eyes and swung, listening to the sound of a 'crack'. Quickly re-opening her eyes, she had finally realized that not only had the girl dodged her attack, but was also now in possession of her only weapon. Trying as hard as she could to break away from the wooden weapon that Echo had used to obtain her branch, the heavy piece of wood slipped from her hands. Furious and a bit embarrassed, the girl growled, amethyst crashing with dulled blue. Were the even fighting for a reason? She didn't know. Nor did she even care. Blinded by fury and her thirst for beating the crap out of the other, she was ready for whatever was coming. ]
"Don't be so sure!"
[ As the kick came, she barely dodged it, the bottom of Echo's shoe scraping her flushed cheek. She quickly moved, spinning to grab her foot. Her moves were becoming more sloppy as she grew more tired. She knew they couldn't fight forever, but the pride of both the girls had gotten to them. Both were stubborn, and both were out to protect something. Echo wanted to protect her master, that idiot Seaweed Head's brother, Vincent... While Alice was just wanting to protect her ego and her reputation. This fight would never end until one of them came out to be the victor. ]
[ She twisted the other's ankle as hard as she could, sending Echo flying to the ground. Taking this opportunity to catch her breath, the girl watched, a bit taunting, waiting for her to get up and make another move. She was giving her a chance to get up and redeem herself, something she better not get used to. She couldn't even find a weapon anyway, so attacking right now would be stupid, considering the opponent was armed with a wooden blade and a fairly large stick. Plus, she was curious as to see how long Echo was able to fight before giving in. ]
"Get up."
"Or are you ready to admit defeat?"
“Echo will gladly take you down.”
[ It was the calmest of expressions she wore, however, it was only natural she’d keep it regardless of the situation. This wasn’t anything to be taken serious either, while she would handle it as such physically. She was being challenged, and so she would defeat the opponent the best she could while basically weaponless. She was not well informed on the other girl’s physical capabilities, but judging their outfit, Echo could assume they were not quite nimble in such attire. She herself, was much more capable physically right now in what she was wearing. ]
[ The opponent kept ready for her move, and so she took the given opportunity to be the first striker. She flicked her arm to the side and slid the weapon out from it’s own pocket in her sleeve to grasp. Gripping tight onto the wooden blade with a firm grip before she moved. She was prided, or at least by Vincent, for her agility and wasted no time getting up close to the girls face before she swung. The weapon was sharp enough to cut, but not to do much to inflict any actual damage to the other. Her target was putting some form of injury upon the other’s chest as she swung just for that area. Not keeping herself in harms way in front of the other, far too easily exposed enough for someone without a weapon, and so with the turn of her body as she sliced, her lower-half moved as well. ]
“Prepare yourself.”
[ She muttered out, but surely close enough to be heard with her monotone tone in the near dead silence of the area. Somewhat, step by step mimicking a slight twirl away from the girl for a short period of time before grounding herself properly. Her eyes kept locked on the girl all times it was physically possible. ]
[ In short, she had sliced at the girls chest, spun back and distanced herself once again to the side of their small make-shift battle field. Weapon still kept tight in her arm and lowering to her side almost with ease. Awaiting to be attacked, and prepared to move. ]
[ The girl prepared herself, eyeing her opponent's every move. They were swift and Echo was pretty agile, even her eyes were getting tired by watching her. Alice was just as speedy and a good fighter as Echo was, but seeing that she was not in possession of any means of defense at all, the girl was at a small disadvantage. Plus, Echo was right. Since her powers were sealed... Alice wasn't able to do much other than fight how a normal human girl would fight. ]
[ She watched, carefully. A turn there, a turn here, and then-- Right infront of Alice's face. She jumped back, just in time, Echo's wooden blade cutting just the flaps of her red coat. Hissing, she glared at the girl as she spun back. Even though there was no blood- the blade didn't even pierce the skin- Alice's pride hurt. She felt like she had gotten stabbed 100 times in the face, and the anger that was bottled up inside her tiny frame was increasing by the second. She needed a weapon. And fast. She refused to lose against such a freak like Echo. ]
"Why you..!"
[ Swiftly turning to the left, the girl bounced around, keeping an eye out for Echo and any sort of weaponry. Amethyst hues panned her surroundings. This was no good. There were no pedestrians around, and she couldn't find anything to use against her monotonous opponent. Until... Aha! A rock on the side of the road. It wasn't much of a weapon, but she could use it to stall. Quickly sliding past Echo, she grasped the medium sized rock in her gloved fist, and tossed it directly at the girl, hitting her in the arm. Hoping to gain enough stalling time to find something better, she quickly ran past the girl once again, eyes darting from left to right. Spotting a tree in the distance, she pushed her legs as hard as they could go, jumped and grabbed onto a branch, ripping off a rather large stick. Once again, it wasn't much, but it had to do for now. She turned and faced Echo again, this time, a little more prepared for attack. ]
Smack that! [ Gilbert Dare ]
How ridiculous. But she couldn't help but laugh on the inside. After being dared by a rather stupid anon, the mischievous girl went out to scavenge the city for a certain idiot-haired Raven. Slapping him on the ass was certainly an provocative gesture, but she didn't think much of it. He'd probably pull his gun out on her or something like always, but eh. It was worth his reaction. Plus he never followed through with the shootings anyway. And wasn't she dared to do something similar to this a few months back?
She searched, high and low, but that idiot was nowhere to be found. Most likely back at his apartment, she assumed, but she really didn't know where he lived in the first place, not to mention what sector he was in. They usually all met up at Oz's apartment, but... should she go check? This was a dare she was looking forward to, considering she got to slap the Seaweed Head right where it hurts (at least that's what she thought), and she refused to pass it up. But maybe it wasn't worth this hassel? Sighing and turn on a heel, the girl began to make her way through the core back to sector three. Until...
The slight tuff of raven hair was caught in her peripheral vision, and she swiftly turned around. There he was, tucked away in his black coat, walking around like an idiot. There was no doubt it was him. Towering above almost everyone in the core, he made his way through the crowd, looking as melancholy and pitiful as usual. Her cunning smirk had returned, and she quickly made her way over.
"Seaweed Head! I have something for you~!"
