Tom Ngo
Tom Ngo paints and draws these wonderfully mechanical constructions, building unique spaces reminiscent of the humble homes, but with a surreal twist, making us wonder if we could possibly dwell in them.

Watched the iconic Surrealist film, Un Chien Andalou (The Andalusian Dog) by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dali in class today. I had seen the film before, but this time it had this lovely track by Gotan Project over it and it flowed seamlessly, so I thought I'd share. If you haven't watched this film, get ready for quite the ride.
Chloe Early
Chloe Early paints wonderful twisting scenes in which figures habitate abstract dreamlike... or nightmarish spaces. Contrasting imagery such as modern warfare against floral beauty create a tension in the figures who often writhe in individual feats of bodily expression, or simply exist in a metaphysical state of swirling color and form. Keep an eye out for her work at Scope Art Show at Art Basel 2012, Miami Beach.
Darren Ankenman
Photographer Darren Ankenman is able to capture simultaneously the fleeting, unforgettable moments of youth and the trouble that comes with the job. Together the intimate moments he seeks out create an artfully blended pastiche of what it means to be young.

Short Break!
Hey Everyone! I'm leaving to New York tomorrow so I won't have any new artists up for about 5-6 days. Sorry! Hopefully I will find some serious talent in the Big Apple, though!

Todd McLellan
These photographs are absolutely breathtaking. Todd McLellan brings us a fascinating, invigorating view of dated technological objects, their every secret exposed and frozen in time and tension. The minute pieces of these obsolete yet gorgeously designed instruments appear frozen in outward motion, the tension and attraction between each part is severe. A fight between inward pull and outward thrust ensues, leaving it up to the audience to decide which process is actually taking place.
The process Todd goes through to capture these photographs is what amazes me most. He starts with an object, then very carefully begins to disassemble with surgical care.
Check out the video at his website, and look for more of this guy's work!
Scott Balmer
Scott Balmer is an extremely talented illustrator out of the U.K. His illustrations remind me of none other than Peter Max and Hieronymus Bosch, with a modern twist (hence the sneaks below). Full of creativity, Balmer's illustrations are absolutely brilliant!
