The HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors) Awards celebrates and recognizes Latino talent in Film, Television and Theater. It is without question that I am truly humbled by being listed among so many great productions and performers. Good mornig & shit lol I realized something amazing during the process of preparing for this show, during the many days of rehearsal where I became one with my character(s) there was no avoiding becoming emotionally connected with them, there were days where I had to take a minute or two to disconnect and reflect on what I had chosen to share with my audience. As Man it is never an easy task to demonstrate vulnerability, to show that we too hurt, we have our own way of showing our pain, many of us act out, fail to communicate our feelings adequately, sabotage relationships whilst sometimes not accepting our responsibilities in their failure. As you witnessed in "The Broken Bachelor," we too experience heartache like women do, we too question ourselves and our actions and many of us make the choice to forfeit love for lustful relationships in hopes that we can forever avoid the pain that comes along with losing love and or never being reciprocated. During my preparation, I felt there was something that I wanted to receive from the audience. Then I realized that my purpose was much greater. My purpose was to share something magical with you, something we don't get to experience to often. So, I declared two intentions before I performed on Saturday. One personal, the second one for the audience. I wont share my personal, but for the Audience, I hoped to GIVE, give you a performance that would cause you to laugh, cry, smile, love, lust, sing, be angry, reflect, reminisce; I wanted to provoke you to view others in your lives for who they are and not for who you think they are. Most importantly, I hoped to inspire you to search deep within yourselves and understand that is OK to be who you are-even if you're broken! There's power in your imperfection! In this Act without knowing, I also achieved my personal intention. The universe, God, works in mysterious ways! I Love you all and Thank you again for all of your continuous support!
