Her frown is not something Faraday believes she lets just anyone see, but then he believes that it is so full of emotion that he has to ask – how do anyone not catch it? He knows the downturn of her lips are his fault – she wants him to run with her, it’s not hard to catch on – but his will is steel, even if it makes his heart ache.
Maybe in another life? Or if she is still there when the threads of Acadia finally snap. For now, though, he can offer small solutions in hopes to keep them together.
❝ No, no, I’m serious, I’ve had some extra time – look. ❞ He turns to the terminal behind him && begins to type with the click clack of the keyboard. ❝ Chase, uhhh, well she faced off with another courser on our tail and took the head as a trophy. So I took out it’s chip, cut off The Institute’s ties, and am using it currently to power this terminal to send messages like they used to back your day. ❞

When he moved to turn away from her, Nora let her arms fall away from him and back to her sides. She hadn’t wanted to lose the feeling of his warmth just yet, but she stepped around him to see what he wanted to show her anyway. At the sensation of a buzz coming from her Pip-Boy, Nora brought her arm up with a curious look on her face. The blue-white like lit up the thin features of her face as that look of confusion was replaced by another small smile. He was serious. Not only that, but Faraday actually managed to make it work.
Thanks to all the walking she’s had to do since awakening in the post-war world; when the shorter woman turned to face him again and legitimately jumped toward him, she actually had the power to reach his neck and wrap her arms around it without the aid of something to stand on. “I can’t believe it- This is amazing, Faraday.”
