chuck was born and raised in the upper eastside by his father, bart bass. bart bass owns bass industries ltd, an international real estate and construction company. the bass family is very wealthy.
as far as chuck knows, his mother evelyn died in child birth. the truth is that she didn’t want a son, and left when he was a baby. since evelyn wanted to disappear, bart gave her the tools to be able to do that, including faking her death and getting her a new name.
