17: Do you believe there is good in everybody?
I really do like to think that there is good in everybody, but I know for a fact that some people have a reason for acting like shit all the time.

36: What keeps you up at night?
A lot. Not being enough for anyone, pushing others away because of work, work itself keeps me up along with thinking about my familyâŠmy sister mostly.
constancexblackwoodâ:
â It would be better if I wasnât alone on this journey. Thanks. â She referred to the maternity with none to help, not even her family. Constance has no idea what she is doing half of the ever since she had her son, which made her a bit depressed when she is locked in the home. This is why she tries to get out as an escape to breath and not feeling suffocate to the loneliness.
Cory looked away from her and frowned a bit from her words. Of course he didnât understand what it was like having a kid and raising it on his own, but he understood the feeling of being alone and wanting someone there. âMaybe you could join a support group or something along those lines? Iâm sure thereâs a group of single parents out there,â he suggested, trying to help.
kennedywoodâ:
âIâm the mayorâs speechwriter.â Kennedy answered. âAlthough hopefully not for much longer, Iâm up for a promotion,â She smiled proudly. She worked hard and she had no problem admitting it.
âOh yeah? Thatâs great. Iâm happy for you.â Cory wasnât lying either. He wouldâve been years ago, but he was more mature now.

âYeah, I guess that makes sense. Sounds like an interesting career, being an entrepreneur. I had a really good friend back in Milwaukee that was set on building an empire for himself by purchasing and running half a dozen little grocery outlets. He was pretty successful, the last I heard, so I certainly know that being an entrepreneur is very fruitful.â Although, being a detective was often pretty fruitful as well, mostly because Cooper loved his job so much. At the mention of his busy schedule, Coop had to laugh a little, âOh yeah, I definitely like to stay busy. I get bored out of my skull when I donât have anything to do.â He nodded, thinking back on the years he spent wrestling here and there. âI wrestled all throughout high school, and then a bit in the MarinesâŠI was never too serious with the sport, I just liked doing it recreationally.â
âOh yeah? It takes a lot to become successful in this business, but Iâm just taking one step at a time. Glad to hear heâs successful,â Cory said with a nod before chuckling to his next words. âWhat do you do at work when youâre bored?â He asked wondering with a friendly smile still on his face. âI played a few sports recreationally growing up as well. How much time did you spend in the Marines?â
kennedywoodâ:
âIâll drink to coffee,â She teased, extending her glass. She blushed a little when he complemented her, but shot back âYouâre not half bad yourself⊠What do you do for a living?â
Cory smirked at her words and gave her a nod. âThank you,â was all he said before taking a sip of his drink and licking his lips afterward. âIâm an entrepreneur,â he answered, not really wanting to talk about his busy work. âWhat about you?â
genevieveduquetteâ:
Genevieve gave a small smile and nodded, âItâs nice to meet you as well.â she nodded at his question. âIâve only been in the city for a year. How about you? How long have you been here?â she asked with a smile taking another sip of her drink.Â
âIâve only been in the city for about a year myself,â Cory answered with a smile. âI moved here from New York City.â
bekahstewartâ:
Bekah smiled and nodded, âOh wow, it sounds absolutely amazing.â she said with a small sigh before sipping from her drink. âIâll make it there eventually.â she said with a laugh. âSo what exactly peaked your interest in Chicago?â she asked curiously.Â
Cory smiled at her words and gave her a nod. âI hope you do. Itâs a wonderful city filled with many things to do so you wonât get bored,â he said before thinking for a moment and looking back to her. âMy best friend, Daniel lives here and I enjoyed how being here makes me feel at home. Itâs large, filled with adventures and people that I know.â
constancexblackwoodâ:
â I wasnât in Dublin when I moved to Chicago. I was living in Washington D.C. I was making a tour for a vlog channel on Youtube. My channel is about random stuff, and I was going to trip in a few states here in the USA. But, everything changed when I entered in labor here. Iâm on a maternity break⊠My child is a newborn. â  She said with a shrugged.
âOh okay, fair enoughâ Cory said as he nodded to her words. âCongratulations on your newborn,â he added with a smile, knowing that he wanted to have kids one day.
cooperxelliotâ:
âWhen the âundergroundâ of a city like Chicago is quiet, itâs always something to be suspicious of,â Coop said as he nodded his head in agreement to the otherâs statement. âAn entrepreneur, huh? Thatâs cool, and certainly impressive. I bet youâre making pretty good bank. What sort of business ventures are you most interested in?â he asked, as he got comfortable in his seat. âIâm a detective for the Chicago PD, but on the side, I also coach wrestling down at the cityâs community center. I have several teams I coach, but I only coach the youngsters.â
âYes, I do make a lot of money,â Cory said with a soft chuckle before thinking for a moment. âItâs hard to choose a few because there are many that Iâm interested in. I work hard for all,â he said with a nod. âSounds like youâre a busy man yourself. Did you wrestle a lot growing up?â
constancexblackwoodâ:
â Itâs nice to meet you, Cory. Thatâs correct. Iâm from Dublin. â Constance offered a kind smile, well a lot of people recognized she isnât from there. Perhaps, not only her accent but the way how she portrays herself; denounce her nationality?! She drummed her fingers on the counter as a sign of anxiety.
âDublin? Damn, youâve come a long way then. What made you move to the windy city of Chicago?â Cory asked wondering as he looked at her.
kennedywoodâ:
âMaybe coffee,â Kennedy giggled. âDonât want to be caught here too often and give people the wrong impression.â She caught herself checking him out and giggled again, turning into her drink and taking a sip so she could hide her face.Â
Cory laughed at her words and nodded. âFair enough. Coffee it is then...maybe,â he teased, noticing her checking him out. âYouâre a beautiful woman.â
genevieveduquetteâ:
Gen gave a small smile, and laughed when she heard him laugh at her joke. âI mean how could I not be.â she said smiling and taking a sip of her drink before introducing herself, âIâm Genevieveâ she said smiling at the man.Â
âItâs nice to meet you, Genevieve. Have you lived in the city long?â Cory asked, wanting to get to know her.
bekahstewartâ:
Bekah smiled softly and laughed, âYea I moved down for college and Iâve been here since.â she said with a smile. âWow New York?â she said her face showing excitement, âIâve never left Illinois, so Iâve never been able to go, whatâs it like?â she asked curiously.Â
âFair enough,â Cory said smiling before nodding and licking his lips before speaking. âNew York is amazing but the city itself is very large, busy with tourists and many businesses. I swear, the city never sleeps, thereâs so much to do. I miss being there sometimes, but this city has peaked my interest,â he said before taking a sip of his drink and smiling at her.
bekahstewartâ:
Bekah smiled and nodded, âItâs lovely to meet you Cory.â she said with a small smile, âIâve lived in the city for around ten years.â she said with a small laugh, âSo I guess thatâs pretty long when you say it out loud.â she joked. âHave you been here long?â she asked.
âTen years? That does sound pretty long,â Cory said with a chuckle, continuing to smile at the beautiful woman. âNot really. Iâve been here for about a year now...moved from New York City.â
genevieveduquetteâ:
âThatâs good to know, I was a bit worried.â Gen said as she took a sip of the glass in front of her and scooted onto one of the stools next to Cory.
âIâm sure you were,â Cory said with a soft laugh escaping his lips as he looked over at her. âIâm Cory,â he introduced himself before taking a sip of his drink.
