writer culture is getting hit by the strongest divine inspiration at the randomest things. like, you see an abandoned gothic church on holiday and that mixes with the shitty bollywood romcom you watched a year ago and you get a novel-length horror fantasy fic completely unrelated to canon. you go home and write 1 chapter two months later and never open the document again
writer culture is telling all your friends about how you've been working on your cool new wip and you're actually liking how it's turning out but the second they ask you what it's about - or worse, ask to read it - you run away screaming
There is a part of me that only exists when I'm around you.
Imagine how it felt when you left and it died.
The urge to deep clean my room, so I can write better.
Makes sense? No.
But it helps.
Got an award for one of my stories this past week.
Today is the debut of the Musical play I wrote the songs for.
Super happy, but the impostor syndrome is on HARD MODE today.

It's truly remarkable. I shapeshifted so much in order to become someone society embraces, that I have difficulty pinpointing which part of ME is actually MINE.
