Cybercrime is committing fraud, trafficking in child pornography and intellectual property such as stealing identities or violating privacy. Though I am just a student, I am still one of those people who wanted to stop the increasing number of this violence.

Cybercrime often pertain to minors who have been victims of this kind of aggressive act of harrassment that threatens someone’s life.

There are a lot of cybercrime branches because of social media such as spamming, phishing, cyberbullying, cyberharassment, cyberstalking, sexting etc. Because of technology, the number of users and victims increases everynow and then.

As being one of the anti-cybercrime, I really agree of the Republic Act 10175 or what we call Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 proposed by Susan Yap and Edgardo Angara because it may be a stepping stone towards sudden disappearance of malicious users here in our country nowadays.

I want to mention my fellow youth as we all unite to be a part of this change because it would be all for the bettermeant of our country and in our lives at the same time.

Being A Responsible Digital Citizen 👩🏻‍💻

How to define a responsible citizen? According to Merriam Webster, responsible means having the job or duty of dealing with or taking care of something or someone. Does it credibly defines you?

In our generation nowadays, people are already inclined with the things utmost by negativity rather than positivity, most especially in the world of social media. Why? Because of the large percentage of users who fell inlove on how it makes everything easier though it kills everyone’s perspective in life.

If you would observe, a lot of people are now being innocent on the consequences of posting everything though it may not make sense to everyone or it may attract them to do unnecessary things that would not ensure your safety and peaceful life.

It’s not bad to share something in public but you must always be reminded of the quote that says “Think Before Click” because it would always be for your sake, to prove that you’re a responsible digital citizen in this world.

Messenger 📶

Nowadays, every people in the world fell inlove with social media and I admit that I am one of those.

In my computer-mediated device, I have a lot of applications that really been useful in the world of communication, entertainment, news update and other purposes.

I am really inclined with facebook, instagram, messenger, tumblr and twitter but the most important for me is the messenger which is a part of the most common worldwide social media site known as facebook.

Messenger helps me in communicating with my family, relatives, friends, classmates and teachers. In every situations like my dad is on his work or I needed to ask my classmates or teachers regarding school purposes, our way of communicating with each other is through messenger.

I know that there are a lot of useful applications that really pop in today’s generation but then, we must not ruin our lives just because of what is “in”. Always remember that things are made not to be destructive, it depends upon the people who use it.

The image shown was my own interpretation of “I living in a digital world”. Why did I chose to draw an image of the earth surrounded by words, different kinds of gadgets and website icons?

Many people nowadays, may it be a kid, a teenager or adolescent, fell inlove with digitals or what we call the gadgets that’s why a lot of people are now engage with social media sites such as facebook, instagram, messenger, tumblr, twitter, etc. I admit that I am one of those people. Are you?

Digitals are divided into two parts which is the positive side and the negative side.

Let’s start with the positive side. Digitals are used by thousands of people for communication, entertainment and other purposes such as school purposes and office works. It’s not that complicated that’s why it makes all things easier.

When it comes to negative side, the things that will enter into that situation were made by the uncontrolled hands of the people, those are the users who lack time management as they look at the image of digitals.

2016 is about to end. Have you made your life full of wonderful memories? or maybe a new collections of gadgets that would fade?

Well, it is not bad to look at the reality of the world. I know we want to be updated with the latest version at all times but please bear in mind that this world is not revised into a digital world, it is still the Earth, the only planet where we exist.

Is Change For The Better?

In our generation nowadays, we merely accept the fact that digitals are really one of the needs we need to face in our daily lives.

If I would randomly ask the kids regarding the things that they usually play, I guess they would say digitals or what we call the gadgets. Maybe they are already expert in using those rather than playing outside the house with there playmates.

Computer is not just a simple invention made up of a screen, a keyboard and a Central Processing Unit. It is also made up of different applications not only for the process of communication and entertainment but also for school purposes.

When I was in grade 2, it was the first time I encountered computer in school. The first thing that I’ve did was typing in an application known as the Typer Shark. Before, the application is only made up of a visual keyboard, sentences on the screen with a black background. But now, the application upgraded and typing became more challenging as well.

When it comes to social media, my first account was made in a social site known as Friendster. In year 2009, I’ve heard about Facebook and because of curiosity, I made an another account and that made me fell inlove with social media all because of computer.

Cellphone is another type of computer-based gadget. I’m very sure that millions of people are using this every now and then. Just like me, my first encountered cellphone was Sony Ericson which was originally my Mom’s phone. Before, it’s not a problem if my phone got drained but now it is.

Look! Based on those experiences of mine, I could say that this world is now covered by a lot of digitals that revolves within us. What we ought to do is to minimize because not all things that change are good, sometimes if it’s too much, it may lead you to unending harm.

Intramurals is a blast though I am not really inclined with sports. Yes I play but never been tried to compete with that big kind of event.

As they disseminate the students for each team, I was placed on the yellow team or what we call the “yellow instinct”. As I look at the members, at first I thought I would not enjoy that sports event because my friends are not there. But as we start the preparation a week before, I’ve been contented because I’ve seen that they are all approachable as unity and cooperation bonded for the group.

In order to motivate the dancers, the players and the candidates, we prepared a cheer for them to be inspired as they join the competition. Take note, we also have props such as bottles with stones to create noise, small flags, yellow ribbon, a simple banner and a paint of yellow and black on our face.

As they start to compete, it seems that the gymnasium is always on fire because of the unending tension happening within the four teams, not just within the participants but also within the audience which is us.

In the end, our team won as the overall 3rd Placer in this school year celebration of Intramurals for the Basic Education Department. Yes, we may not be the lucky one to bring home the bacon yet we’re happy and satisfied.

We would not be able to reach this kind of achievement if we are not Blessed. We want to thank Lord, the most Powerful and ever Living God because He made the impossible into a possible outcome.

I am really grateful and proud to be one of the Yellow Instinct. Thank you and congratulations for the successful of this event, CLDH-EI.
