Creative Recreation’s Facebook page got a bit of a facelift!

August
July is done and over with, and that only means we have a new challenge for all of you!
This month's project is brought to you by, Joey Acott.
The project is: Futuristic Renewable Energy Resources.
What exactly does that mean? Well it pretty much means if you want to do some research about how the world will end up in apocalyptical state because all the natural resources will be used up and present that in a creative way (ie. infographics, maybe even a diorama because those are pretty cool). Or maybe you want to take a different approach and come up with a new energy source (ie. invent a way to turn bodily fluids like tears into energy).
This month's challenge will probably make you think just a bit more about your execution – but we believe in you, and your beautiful, creative minds.
Project deadline is: Saturday September 5th

August 1st is just a few days away and I'm sure you know what that means, right!?
Another gathering of Creative Recreation. A new project announcement brought to you by Joey Acott. July project deadline / showcase. Meeting some new faces over food, drinks, and design talk.
So join us, and see what it's all about!
The lowdown.
We birthed this idea because we know everyone is bored of doing mundane design work that has very little creative freedom – being for clients or for the big boss. We also know that everyone does want to do their own personal projects, but get discouraged or unmotivated to finish. Or possibly just lack the creative push, need to overcome a stubborn creative block, or just want to try something new. We believe that having a handful of people doing the same project with different executions will be the motivation for everyone to stay on track to finish. Plus it’s super exciting to see what everyone has done!
So here we are!
We’ll hold a gathering at the starting of each month at a location that offers food and drinks – because who doesn’t like those things while being creative, right? What to expect at one of this gatherings:
New project announcement New person to be chosen for the next month’s project Showcase of the completed project (if wanting to) Good company Meet new faces (possibly)
The person to decide on the following month’s project will be chosen at random. How? Good ol’fashioned draw is the name of the game. Each project will have to be completed by the next gathering, a good month or so to get it done and ready for presentation. All mediums are open for use – if you love painting, vectoring, drawing, poster designing, photographing, sculpting. Go crazy! As long as it holds true to the subject matter, and is in no way offensive. I’m sure you know what we mean by this.
If you decide to paint something on a 3′ x 5′ canvas – by no means do we expect you to bring it. Just snap a high quality picture, and that’s that!
All projects will be posted and credited with the creator’s info on this blog, and on the Facebook page unless stated otherwise.
Not a group, or a club, just some creative recreation.
