I find it so frustrating that Rina Sawayama is left out conversations concerning better pop artists, especially within the confines of modern pop artists. Such a talented woman with such a strong discography, and i hardly see her as contender for amazing modern pop artists!! And if i said its racism because people only talk about the white artists?????

Today I realized I was a teenager on several different social media websites and I somehow did not become a homestuck fan

Over the past week, I (re)binged Avatar: The Last Airbender, and this week I rewatched The Legend of Korra. And yes ATLA is a phenomenal show, we all know, it doesn't need anymore of its flowers, its got plenty.

And in all honesty, im of the mindset that most criticism of TLoK can be chalked up to "this person doesn't know the production of LoK" or "this person is probably racist/misogynistic". Obviously this isn't the whole or base of criticism for Korra, both as a show and a character, but unfortunately the fandom gave me this mindset with how hypocritical and obtuse about Korra.

The Legend of Korra definitely has its shortcomings for sure. Im not saying its a perfect show or even better than ATLA. But to sneer down at it simply because its not Aang and his crew, is ludicrous. So many people call Korra "the worst avatar" because "she severed the avatar cycle" MIND YOU. She was fighting a literal DEMON, and was helpless in the situation. I will not delve further in this either, since its been discussed so much, even tho #those people dont listen.

I really enjoy Korra as a character. She might be my favorite out of the whole series. I really love that she has to follow up Aang, both in universe and in the real world. Such a big task, and the girl is thrown thru the worst. One of my favorite things about her, is that in the beginning, she was fighting a lot more aggressively, focusing on firebending. But at the end, against Kuvira and her army, shes more passive and defensive. She uses her enemies attacks against them, she focuses on airbending. I really admire how they went with her character. Truly one of a kind.

A lot of music fans are insufferable and kinda gatekeepy about their favorite artsists but none in my eyes compare to Mitski fans. Mitski fans will always complain about how "most fans only talk about the same 3 albums" and then they go around, also talking about how like 3 other albums are "so underrated." And i notice how they never mention Laurel Hell!! Like at all!!

How do I explain to people that Gummo, a very strange movie full of fucked up actions and ideas, is one of my favorite movies of all time, not because its fucked up, but because I find the acting really good and the concept of people just living their lives in poverty in a run down town really good, without sounding weird 😭😭😭

Asgore Dreemurr and Spamton G. Spamton are my favorite Undertale + Deltarune characters.

Asgore and Spamton both lack in screen time compared to other characters, but the emotional impact they both left on me is astronomical.

Asgore, a man who drove his family away with his obsessions, doing everything for the family he loves, even if it means being a murderer. All for his family. His fight is one of my favorites Toby has made. His theme song is even better. The fact you can hear Heartache in there is so devastating. He truly loves Toriel with his entire being.

And Spamton. A businessman made into a virus, hoping to achieve freedom but instead, is held back by strings, and when those strings are cut, he stops working. Add to the fact that he had a history with Tenna, (and yes, i do ship SpamTenna) it makes me feel something so indescribable.
