So this song! I’ve been a big fan of K. Michelle for a while now. Her music and voice is amazing. I don’t care what anyone else says. He song “Mindful” was MY SHIT! I wore that song out!! But this song! The reason I like it is one, the beat. Two, Chris Brown in the background complements her voice on the chorus. I don’t care what you say about that man he’s good at his craft... he might be a Bar person but the fucker can make music. Three, this song gets me in that “So what if they’re talking” mentally. One of those of those ratchet, tongue out, hands up, swaying type of songs. Also this song gives me that ratchet I’m gonna live my life whether you’re hating on me or not! An I love it! For me one thing K. Michelle does with her music is make you feel a certain type of way... and with this song every time I play it makes me think of how I always here the “Well I herd you...” or the “So and so is talking trash about you” and I just shrug because I’m my head... EITHER WAY they aren’t paying my bill nor do they take care of me so 🤷🏾‍♂️ why does it matter.

First off I love Rita Ora! There’s just something about this song that when it comes on you have no choice but to move! She comes in the song loud and full of energy. This song I love more for the energy and feeling of happiness that comes over you when you listen to it. It’s definitely one of my favorite gym songs. During the verse it’s a quieter more tamed house beat then once the chorus hits its back to full hype. The reason I like Rita Ora is she has a great way of picking beats that compliment her voice which makes it easy to get lost in it. Radioactive was one of the songs that came on and I instantly loved it. It never failed at being my pregaming with friends and just wanting to get yourself hype song. The song sets me in a happy to be around good people, happy, and ready to fuck the night up mood!

For my 1st post I’m going to go with a song that I literally have to listen to at least 4 time when it comes on. The reason I love this song so much is not only the fact Sam Smiths voice is like butter over the background beat but because the words in this song hit you harder than a wrecking ball! Everything about this song compelled me to sing (horribly) at the top of my lungs. Within the 1st day I knew all the words. The song doesn’t pussy foot around it gets straight to the point “I’m too good at goodbyes” “Every time you hurt me, the less that I cry And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry And every time you walk out, the less I love you Baby we don’t stand a chance, It’s sad but it’s true” Geezus the chorus alone! We’ve all been in this situation on both sides of the fence. I’m not gonna say I’ve always been a realist when it comes to relationships and how they really work, I too had the stare look in my eyes and dammit Disney made me think it was easy! But the as of lately with everything I’ve been going through I started to learn more and more about relationships. I’ve been in different relationships over the years and haven’t always been the good guy/ Prince Charming I should have been. The first verse of this song was what hit me the hardest because I’ve literally always said “I’ve seen this all before and I’ve been in a relationship like this and it didn’t end well” so I’d do different things to try to change the outcome but they usually end the same. Then the beginning second verse: “You must think that I’m heartless You must think that I’m cool” This reminds me of my last relationship because I was too much of a realist about the relationship when he was a bright eyed and happily ever after type who wanted a Prince Charming and deserved it but me being fresh out of a divorce and having life issue on top of life issue didn’t do that for him. I was honest about things that I should have probably kept to myself and played the role. I knew he was too good for me and and would eventually the relationship would end so I didn’t get too excited about it to avoid being crush but the whole time I was just crushing his dream of a dream tv relationship. All in all this song is everything I love in a song… I can relate to the words, the beat is amazing, and the mix and chill feeling of Sam Smith singing over the track makes this an instant favorite for me.

I guess I’ll start off by saying:

This tumblr is intended to be kinda of a music open journal if you will 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I love music, the feeling behind it, the imagination, and most importantly the feeling it gives you when you hear it.

Don’t get me wrong I’m no professional anything but hell i figures instaead of bugging my friends all the time when music come out or a song I love comes on, I might as well bug everyone about it lol.

Now on to the music. I have diffent taste in music which means this will spans many genres at random lol but stick with me I promise it’ll be good. What I’ll be writing about is a song and what connects me to that song, what makes me want to listen to that song, what made me want to favorite it, and what made me want to share it.

Music can hit you at random point in your life and you’ll hear a song that can give you all the feels at one moment and have you saying “what was I thinking” the next. So this is basically to show no matter what music can give you a feeling... sometimes feelings you didn’t even know you had...
