The ONLY Hale Twin dynamic I'll acknowledge
crying over the fact that the Cullens gathering witnesses in Breaking Dawn is basically Edward and Bella going around being like 'yeah he rocked my shit #noprotection'
au where instead of fleeing to alaska to get away from bella, edward flees to pennsylvania where he becomes a bartender and assumes the name jackie daytona
As for the other mains:
I think it’s damn near canon that Edward would wish to become human. It’s for Bella, but not affecting her directly. He’d much rather risk his own skin in case the wish backfires. He probably doesn’t believe the willow will work, but he’s paranoid so he’s very careful with his wording nonetheless
Bella is less predictable, but I think she would use it to become a vampire without putting Edward through the guilt of causing her pain or whathaveyou. Or she insists on using her wish for someone else (my first thought is making it possible for Rose to have a baby, idk). There isn’t a ton Bella wants for herself that she doesn’t already have*. She intends to be very careful with the wording but has some bright idea last-minute and fucks up so hard. The consequences are both horrific and hilarious. Cringefail queen
*…unless she happens upon the One Wish Willow in New Moon. Then her ass is wishing to be good enough for Edward. She’s too depressed to realize how vague that is, and as far as Edward/the universe is concerned she is already good enough, so the willow does not snap for her as long as that is her wish. She figures it’s broken/fake, shoves it under her bed, and forgets about it
Wait. If this happens during Eclipse, Bella impulsively wishes Edward could safely have sex with her. This manifests as Edward becoming human. He is thrilled about this until his 1918 immune system immediately falls victim to a 21st century disease and Carlisle has to change him again. Edward is saved (again)… Except now he has newborn bloodlust, making it impossible to even be near Bella. So he uses his wish to cancel out Bella’s/give him his centenarian control back. Whomp whomp
I like in rpgs where if you don’t romance two of the characters they start romancing each other instead. You think you’re the only fish in the sea

guys. I think we go too easy on edward cullen.
When does Edward Cullen Accountability Week start??? Because I am READY
The problem is that I love everything that's wrong with him. Edward Cullen Accountability Week and Edward Cullen Appreciation Week are the same week.
This is absolutely true
I mean I'll obviously start ... My favorite things that are wrong with Edward Cullen:
1. He's got no rizz for the entirety of Twilight. Cannot believe that Bella still likes him after All That.
2. Finds out the girl he's crushing on likes him back and his first thought is to send her to a mental hospital
3. Stalks a girl and confesses to stalking her (this charms her????)
4. Blinded by love, he makes zero good decisions in New Moon. Complete buffoonery.
5. Tortures himself and is shocked to discover that hurting himself hurts those who care about him. (this seems deeply unfair but okay...)
6. Threatens marriage at every inconvenience.
7. Does not want to fuck in honor of The Lord.
This is it, THE definitive list of all the reasons why I love Edward Cullen. Everything he's ever done wrong is also everything he's ever done right. Thank you for the delightful summary.
Also @edwardsvirtue what are you doing hiding gold in the tags??????
hi heres the entire twilight movie as a stamp

Edward Cullen text posts part 2
The debate over whether Bella’s depression in New Moon was reasonable or not has always been wild to me.
First of all, I’m sorry but if I had a dream that I wanted as badly as Bella wanted hers, had it so close, and had it ripped away so suddenly (being told it’s my fault) I too would have fallen into a severe depression. That sucks. Having this otherworldly experience, having the reasonable belief you could live a fantasy of being young with your beautiful lover for eternity, only to be unceremoniously dumped back into the real world? That sucks!!!!!! Didn’t Doctor Who do a whole thing about post-adventure depression in companions?
Also, much more importantly: depression doesn’t need to be justified. It’s not always reasonable. Sometimes depression just happens for reasons that make little to no sense.
So when the protagonist of a love story falls into depression when her love interest leaves her, I think “yeah, no shit”
This is getting notes again and I want to clarify that while I said real-life depression is not always reasonable or logical, this does not apply to Bella. Bella’s depression did make sense and fit the narrative.
Like. Ok. Bella had an extreme reaction to her break-up?? Her sudden break-up in her supernatural romance in which she formed a very deep connection with a very dramatic man in a very dramatic fashion?? That Bella Swan went from an extreme high to an extreme low?? Kitchen found in Forks
I brought up the fact that depression does not always make sense irl because the depiction of Bella’s depression was (and still is) one of the more poignant and relatable depictions of depression you’ll see in the genre. It does feel like time is slipping away (see: blank chapter months). It does feel like you’re dealing with a death, whether it’s someone else’s or the death of the non-depressed self (who felt like a totally different person to yourself and your loved ones). It does have phases and stages where you’re able to perform normality some days better than others. You do feel guilty when your friends’ best efforts to cure you just aren’t enough. You do fluctuate between numbness and pain. You do start to mentally belittle yourself for being unfixable; you get so frustrated because you should be okay by now but you just aren’t. You do start to feel ambivalent-at-best about your own fate.
Good fiction gives you realistic feelings in even the most unrealistic of circumstances. Smeyer’s writing leaves a lot to be desired but imo she nailed Bella’s depression. She took the outlandish circumstance of losing your eternal future with your vampire lover and made the reaction relatable as hell
Twilight (2008)
me opening tumblr to make a post that should be a diary entry: alice. things are bad again.
Happy pride to those 5 seconds where Charlie Swan thought Jacob was coming out to him in the most insane way possible
