After her second marriage had ended with her husband dying again Margaery was sure she was CURSED. That was not normal was it? She must’ve been cursed. But to prove her she was not & to keep the family as wealthy as it was, they betrothed her to another man. Elijah Mikaelson.        They had been married for a few weeks now so it was still quite normal that their relationship was still a bit .. awkward.         She really tried her best — after all she just wanted to make her family happy. & that meant making him happy. And that was only possible with a child. But soon she feared that he simply did not find her desirable enough. He’d often leave for hours with no explanation — he’d act so strange sometimes – & he never joined her for dinner. In fact he never even ate. ‘’You were gone for a long time again. I already                    feared you might vanish & leave me behind.’‘

The Mikaelson family had to keep up appearances, to seem human. It was ultimately up to Elijah to marry, he knew this was a doomed union from the start. He could not give the woman children, and she would eventually catch on to the fact that he never aged. Elijah was not a mortal, he could never give the woman even an inkling of joy in her life---but his family had finally for once in quite sometime found peace. He couldn’t very well destroy that, so he agreed to the marriage. The rest he’d figure out later, but for now he had to keep up the act. She was a beautiful woman, Margaery, someone if circumstances were different he wouldn’t mind spending his life with. He felt guilt as he would leave for days on end, whether to feed or just to keep his family in line. At her words he frowned a moment, before taking her hands in his, he put on a gentle smile. He needed to assure her it wasn’t her, after all she wonderful. It was him that was ultimately the m o n s t e r. “I’m sorry, I had matters to attend to. Besides if I were to leave you I’d leave a note at least.” He lets out a small laugh to show that he was simply joking.

( thedapperoriginal) The Mikaelsons. It was a wealthy family – everyone knew that. Everyone should know that. & Joffrey – her husband was very aware of that as well. Just as aware as he was about the RUMORS of that Klaus. There were people calling him the devil himself. People saying they saw how he turned into his true form. How he ATE epople ALIVE. But of course the king did not believe in those childish stories. Instead he invited him to the castle. He was hoping they could make some kind of .. agreement. Mostly he was hoping to trick them into borrowing the kingdom more money. Margaery thought it was a foolish idea — they had so many debts to pay already. But of course the young queen had no say in this. Instead, if she dared to speak up against Joffreys demands she’d be gifted with another hit. – Lately her once so easily to be manipulated husband had become more violent – more unpredictable. & now not even the wicked little bitch from Highgarden knew how to deal with all that anger inside of him . ‘’Do you want me to leave?’’ Margaery asked as they entered the Throne room, Joffrey sitting down on his ugly throne. The arrogance written all over his face. ‘’ No – you stay.’’ Margaery sighed barely noticeable and sat down on the chair beside the throne, nodding at one of the guards so that they’d open the huge doors & let in their .. guest. But instead of the expected Klaus, there was another  — that was his brother, wasn’t it? She just couldn’t remember his name. But Joffrey did not seem pleased by this sudden change. & he was so full of himself that he would stare down this intimidating man with his usual arrogance and be RUDE as always. ‘’ I can’t recall inviting you here?’’ Margaery let out a sigh again, her gaze on the handsome man. ‘’ Who’s this peasan?!’’ Joffrey, stop. ‘’ —- It’s his brother.’’ Margaery said , not looking at her hsuband. ‘’ Shut up – no one asked you.’’

& so the queen remained silent. She wouldn’t risk another black eye. — Which was very visible and a constant reminder not to anger the KING.

‘You’ve always been better with making deals brother.’ Klaus’ words rang in Elijah’s head as he approached the lavish lands. he wasn’t sure how much he’d come to regret going to meet the king in Niklaus’ place but still he went. He doubted the young man could make any offers that would prove to be appealing to their family in order for them to agree to donate to the kingdom, but he was a fair enough man to give him a chance, something his hotheaded brother may not have done. He entered the throne room, where the king was awaiting and from the looks of it Joffrey wasn’t all too pleased with the change in negotiations. Elijah waited patiently for the boy to stop shouting, slightly raising a brow as he heard how he spoke to the woman (the woman he assumed was Joffrey’s wife). He clears his throat before speaking, “I apologize, your grace---I know it was not me you were expecting, my brother Niklaus sends his regards. However, he felt that I was more fit to be making this deal. I’m Elijah Mikaelson.”

      she stands, alone on the sidewalk as she waits for her brother       and sister to return from their errands. what had taken them so       long ??? drogon had little patience for her younger siblings and       truly just wanted to return home — the targaryen mansion on        the other side of new orleans. but s o m e t h i n g makes her       petulance evaporate, only to be replaced with anger. she hated       when people took as much interest in watching her as she did        them. then again, she did have a superiority complex. feet carry       her across the street as she storms towards none other than an       original vampire — ELIJAH MIKAELSON. 

                       ‘ — tell me, something, ser. E X  A C T L Y how discrete                          are you trying to be, because clearly you are failing ! ‘ a long                         dead valyrian accent thickens the words, and she does not at                         all care that she is being rude.

His mind was elsewhere, as was his train of thought. His eyes thoughtlessly wondering over the people of the city as he walked through the streets he once loved. Oh how times have changed. It seems his wondering eyes and his intent of watching a particular young  woman has ignited a spectacular rage within her. He is only snapped out of the corridors of his own  mind when said young woman, comes storming at  him. A polite smile crosses his lips, his hands buried in the pockets of his suit.

“Hmm? Oh---forgive me for staring, my mind seems  to be...drifting today.”

Okay so just gonna make a quick Hayley stan type rant under the cut. If you don’t like her don’t read I guess?? Also it’s not completely anti Klaus but I am gonna use him to make a few points so read at your own risk if you are an adamant Klaus stan. 

Okay so for quite some while I have tried so hard to stay quiet about all the Hayley hate, but alas we all need to vent sometimes right? Anyway I’ve seen a lot of Klaus fans go off about how selfish it is that Hayley did what she did, because after all Klaus at the end of the day is just a man who loves his daughter and wants what’s best for her right? And yes that’s 100% true no lie there, but I’d like to point out Klaus has a couple of times tried to make decisions all on his own and without Hayley when he thought it fit. Hayley too is a parent who wants what’s best for her child, and she’s seen a lot of the Mikaelson’s and the life they’ve lead so honestly while I don’t believe it was fair and do agree it was selfish to some degree I get why she chose to take Hope away.

Klaus and Hayley BOTH have done selfish things in the name of protecting their child. They have both made mistakes and in a lot of ways are very similiar characters. My point being Hayley gets a lot of hate for doing what she thinks is right for herself, her pack, and her daughter and even a lot of things Klaus is often praised for. I don’t hate Klaus this isn’t what this post is about, I’m just pointing out, they aren’t saints, neither of them. So yes this is getting rambley and may even sound dumb, but I’m sick of the bullshit Hayley hate especially when it’s against her doing what it takes to be a happier person, or to protect her child. Selfish or not, Hayley has seen some amazing development and I’m sick of that being overrode by ship wars and even some people’s inability to like a character with imperfections so long as they don’t have a dick.
