Early season destiel is insane because Dean and Cas somehow have this whole friendship going on to the point Dean will save Cas's life while they are on opposing sides from his torturer and Cas will tell him his doubts that would literally end in his death if Dean told anyone while the person Dean spends every second of every day with has met Cas like once.
