The Great Liberation
(death practice meditation)
written and spoken by Marina White Raven (London) in collaboration with the music and voice of Ana Cristina Pérez (Mexico City).
This meditation acts as a simulation or rehearsal of the actual death process described in Tibetan buddhist tradition.
Contemplation and meditation on death and impermanence encourage us to recognise how precious and short life is. By understanding the death process and familiarising ourself with it, we are invited to accept our own impermanence and embrace our deepest fears. When we practice death we affirm life and are encouraged to live life more fully; with appreciation, meaning and joy.
Death Practice Meditation is perfectly safe...
We would love to hear about your experiences of this meditation practice. Please send us your responses in words, pictures, poetry, songs, videos and feel free to share it with people who may appreciate it.
