We already know how biased the fandom is. Considering how prevalent biphobia [and panphobia] are, it has nothing to do with his biphobic comments and everything to do with their faves. Like look how much they defend Hunter. Even when he was an abusive, hateful jackass. Or brought a gun to school. OR threatened Maya. Or any of the plethora of bullshit he's done. But they can forgive that. If someone is the fandom darling, they're fucked. They better not make mistakes if they're not.

That’s very true. Tristan could sincerely apologize for his biphobia, do all his research on bisexuality, and devote himself to being a bi ally and people would still demonize him.

Though I will say that based on the results of the survey, a very large percentage of the fandom identifies as bi or pan. So for a lot of people it’s a very personal issues.
