“Thank you,” He mumbled softly and ducked back under the table to reach the vent. After a few quick twist of his wrist, the vent came off and he leaned it up against the wall before turning back to assess the problem. “Holy shit!” Miles grunted as he hit his head against the table above him then scooted out from under the table rubbing his head. “Shit shit shit! That’s a huge fucking spider.”
Delilah returned to her plants and sat down on a stool, making a couple notes about the growth pattern of her plant. At the commotion Miles made, she looked back up at him. “A spider,” she echoed, her eyes growing wide. “T-There’s a spider??” The ginger got up from her stool and backed away. “There’s a fucking spider in there?”

“Right behind you.” Melina stood up.
“Great,” Delilah grinned, before heading up the stairs to her dorm room.

Baby shrugged, it was no big deal either way. “Talking to my mother. She sends her regards as usual.” Baby lied through her teeth.
“Oh, great. Being obnoxiously loud must run in the family, then.”

“That’s what she wants you to think! She’ll lull everyone in the house into a false sense of security and warmth, them rip it out from under us all- just like how she obviously ripped the electrical cord right out of the machine! See?? The wires are completely frayed! Such savagery! Oh, how could she do this? How did we not see this coming?”
“Lexi, calm down. You’re talking crazy. You’re talking nonsense and you know it. I’m sorry about your coffee maker and I’ll get you a new one. But I’m sure it was a mistake. Whoever did it, it was an accident and you know it.”

“Amelia! It had to be her!” Lexi plowed on, pretending they hadn’t heard Delilah at all. “I remember seeing her this morning fussing with the poor thing … now look at it!” They sniffed dramatically, wiping imaginary tears from under their eyes. “It lived such a short life …”
Delilah scoffed. “Amelia? That little sweetheart would’ve written a note and left it on the coffee maker. And it would’ve definitely been an accident. That girl hates confrontation so much she wouldn’t dare do anything to make people angry.”
lexi-hamada:
»»————- lexi ————-««
“No … no, that’s not right. No, this is the work of sabotage! I cannot function without a cup of coffee in my hand! This is unacceptable!”
Delilah rolled her eyes. “Chill out. Why the hell would anyone be trying to sabotage you. Even if someone hates you enough to do that, there’s surely a better way to hurt you than to keep you from your cup of coffee.”
lexi-hamada:

“Okay, I promise I won’t be mad … but who broke the coffee maker?”
"I don’t know. But I’m sure it was an accident. No one would want to break a coffee maker on purpose. Unless they’re crazy.”
last--mistake:
“Trust me, if I could fix it with a wave of a magic wand, I would.” Miles mumbled under his breath. He was no happier than she was since the problem ended up being much worse than what he was told. “Do you mind handing me the socket wrench? Should be in my bag on that table over there.” He gestered over his shoulder.
With a sigh and a roll of her eyes, she walked up to his bag to grab a socket wrench and walked towards him. “Here,” she announced monotonously as she held up the wrench for him.
melinalatsis:
“And this, my dear, is why I love you.” Melina grinned.
“Come on, girly. I’ve got a secret stash in my room!”
