Yes, sex with regret. Which I’m sure you have, because I’m an awkward being and not like a sex goddess and possibly ruined any type of normality that was going on between us. Not to mention you could possibly be a father… I’m a terrible person. I should not have put you in that compromising position. Oh my god. I am so sorry.

“Where else would I go..?” She asked, tilting her head. “I have nowhere else to go. I have no one else..”

Her eyes feel to the chain around his leg once again. “I can’t trust you… Not yet..” Her voice was low, sad. “I just don’t want you to leave me..”
“But you leave me and I trust you to come back..”
“You sure?” Eli’s eyes bore into the boy, her jaw clenched. “I-I don’t believe you..” She whispered looking away. “What did you have…” She kept her eyes off of his face. “What did you have that you don’t now? That you don’t with me?” Eli sighed, shaking her head. “A family who never really appropriated you? Friends who only spoke to you when it benefits them? Is that really worth going back to?”
“You don’t trust me?” He blinked, unsure. He didn’t want to say much more in case she started really going off.
“I am looking at you..” He bit his lip, looking over at her. “I.. am happy here.” Only part of it was just him telling her what she wanted to hear.
“Now you are.. Because I’ve made you.” Elizabeth stared at him for a moment before shaking her head. “I don’t believe you.” She sighed. “But I will make you happy.. I will.. I promise..”
"I know.. I'm not worried."
Elizabeth clenched her jaw, looking away. “Because look at me..” She murmured, glancing over her shoulder. “Look at you.. Y-You wouldn’t have given me the time of day.. E-Even when I tried.. I just.. It never would have happened..” Sighing, she turned to face him. “B-But I can make you happy! Just give me a chance..”
“I am looking at you..” He bit his lip, looking over at her. “I.. am happy here.” Only part of it was just him telling her what she wanted to hear.
Elizabeth’s heart fluttered at his words, her lips curving into a smile. “I’m always going to come back.. You are everything to me, Derek.. Can’t you see that.. That’s why you’re here. That’s why I brought you here.. I couldn’t be without you anymore..”
His words stemmed from a deep sense of helplessness. He had nothing.. he was nothing anymore. Not without her. He didn’t exist beyond this room. “Why didn’t you just.. tell me?”
