I got myself a Barbie doll. As a child I'm not sure if I had one, I remember my parents buying some at a thrift shop but I think they went almost straight to my younger cousins. I was more into lego back then. I wiped her face and gave her a new faceup. After that I sewed a top and a skirt so she can pose for photos.

The skirt is made of wool. A couple of months ago I ordered a test square of this fabric and I will definitely get more, easy to work with and looks great on pictures.

The earrings are made of copper wire that I simply just bent a bit and with PVA glue put in place. Without the glue they constantly fell off.

What surprised me about this doll is how hard it is to get her stay in a pose. The feet joints are very weak and the feet themselves are infamously tiny so it's not really possible to make her stand on her own. It's not visible in the picture but she's propped up with a pen. Even the Blythe can stand better with her enourmous head!

However for the price she looks really good and I prefer the small size too. I'm thinking about getting another so I could make group shots 👀
