âWho are you people?â
Phoenix is still stuck in his alterâs clothes.
And he still has amnesia. Just great.
âDepends, howâd you get in here?â A somewhat nervous male voice spoke breathlessly. His injuries were recent, and he had suspicious red stains on his clothes. He had been cleaning a red puddle off of the floor with an old rag and a bucket and gripped the rag fiercely. The room was a mess, a coffeetable was overturned and there was bits of glass everywhere across the hardwood floor. The curtainrack had been ripped down and the front door was ajar, most likely the method of Phoenix happening to come in.
There was a young woman in the room too, however she sat still as a doll in her chair, not at all bothered by the stranger who somehow came into their space.
Shigure found a new possible face claim

When the cracks begin to show [Fantasy themed]
"The FlaskâŚ" he mumbled, fighting through, "I can open a portal to it if I use the last of my strength, but that will destroy whatâs left of this oneâs time, and I would need you to step through and activate Project One, itâs a lever on the metal wall. When this flask fades, I will be left vulnerable. The darkness will come. It must be quickly."
He truly wished he could use less cryptic words. But any communication was better than none. He could feel enough magic coursing through his body to open a warp for his new⌠friendâŚ? to use. A portal that would lead to the place he was born. It would open into a sterile metallic room with a large whirlling machine along one wall, with two large glass tubes - Project One and Project Two, and their respective control panels. But he knew that when he opened the warp to that place, the flask would die as it was, leaving him a free-floating spirit for a matter of moments. Any dark creature would want an unguarded soulâŚ.
Arius stayed close as the man spoke, making sure to remember everything he said. It seemed simple, but he would have to be quick. It was obvious that as soon as he opened this portal, his life would be on a countdown. A shorter one that the body alone had.
After hearing the instructions, the mage stood up and faced where the dying manâs legs were pointing out, as he assumed that since it was his âforwardâ the portal would be cast in that direction. The alternative was that it was going to be summoned directly above them, since it was the actual direction the lying man was looking at.
After positioned, Arius cast a small spell circle on his hand, which summoned a very bright orb of light. If the creatures he was talking about were more directly linked to the literal meaning of darkness, it should do a rather good job at repelling, or at least weakening or delaying these beings. Was it really going to work? Arius didnât know. There were so many beings keen to darkness and shadows that some of them are affected by light, and some arenât. It wasnât always a hit as it was a hit-or-miss situation.
The mage took a deep breath, looking forward, before facing the wounded person next to him. âIâm ready. Open the portal.â he said, then looked forward again, ready to sprint and act.
He let out a strained groan and a portal opened between Arius and himself, so that way Arius could enter quickly. The tension in his body seized for a moment and he seemed to be in quite a lot of pain. The tension eased and he exhaled a final breath. The chest of the now-still body was pulled upwards for just a moment before releasing a glowing ball of energy into the air. It twirled and tilted softly above the body. It would only take another moment before the rumbling of an earthquake began to disturb the area, a dark energy approached for those who could sense it.
The room through the warp was dusty, it seemed that someone had left it in a hurry last as yellowed papers were scattered across the floor. Most of the writing or printed notes on them was illegible from the sunlight fading the ink.
Indeed, a large metal machine covered one wall. A curtain covered what appeared to be two glass columns other than a few inches near the floor and roof.Project One and Project Two listed neatly, Project One's control panel was on the left of the curtains, and Project Two's was on the right.
((Your blog/theme is acting up. Tumblr is not showing me the reblog option or any of the black rectangle buttons on the top-right corner. I am literally unable to reply ._. Sorry. I'll try to see if there's a way around it, though.))
sorry I dont know whats up with that. I'm going to change my theme after I send this message to a default theme to hopefully fix the issue. Thanks for letting me know!!
Not forgotten the RPs
Just that I lack the motivation or energy to reply to the two threads.
However, I want to have new threads to rp and to do some chat rp with my friends.
I feel like shit for that.
Replies⌠hopefully within the next few days.

When the cracks begin to show [Fantasy themed]
His wounds refused to heal. Every muscle was sore. Every bone creaked and ached. He was cold and his heart beat slowly. The expiration date drew near for the shell that encapsulated his heart. It became harder and harder to even breathe. But he could not die here, not yet⌠for his new flask - rather, his new body - was not within reach. If he could not find a suitable host he would surely become lost forever.
At some point during a passing phase of unconsciousness, he was aware that someone had moved him. Perhaps someone found his body and assumed him dead, he thought, how dreadful it would be to have an autopsy performed at this stage⌠He truly hoped he wasnât mistaken for dead. He knew he would need to muster enough strength to communicate if he heard someone nearby.
Arius had found the man and had carried him to a portal gate, activated it, and took him to the base of his mage tower. There, he laid him on a blank, circular stone slab and cast a spell circle on it. The magic in effect was a passive healing spell. It allows wounds that could naturally heal to heal faster, or to delay or reduce chronic or mortal states; but would not stop a certain death by itself.
That was one of the many tricks mages and archimages use to prolong their lifespan. That was what Arius IV of the Navitian lineage, or simply Arius, had used to help him reach the age of 812 years. That; other spells, potions and other; and a physical left arm created by infused pure magic to recover from losing the original one in a war.
Back to the narrative in place. Arius had sensed that there was still some energy remaining in this body. Though he was uncertain of which kind, he assumed it was energy from a living thing, so he was up to try to help him, she, it or whatever it was. He hoped he could save anything, but it wouldnât really affect him if he failed.
He waited, keeping the magic circle up, to see if he would wake up.
Instead of reality continuing to further itâs distance from Shigureâs mind, he felt everything slow to a stop. It was startling. He couldnât help but take a deeper breath to try to rouse more of his consciousness. The cold slab felt like a morgueâs metal table to him in this weakened state. It would be now or never that determined whether or not heâd understand the concept of mortality.
"Iâm not dead," he croaked argumentatively, his body flinched and tensed as though attempting to move but without the strength. He fought to open his eyes, they were a vivid crimson and searched the room with heavy eyelids.Â
"I need The Flask," he mumbled, then furrowed his eyebrows, trying to think of another word for it.Â
Arius smiled slightly when he heard him speak. It was a good sign. It meant that there was still something to save, and so, there was more that he could do, knowing it wouldnât be such a waste of time and magic.
He stepped onto the slab, keeping the spell up, and walking next to this man, kneeling to be closer to hear him. That helped, since he managed to hear what he requested. He nodded, put a hand above his body, and formed a small spell circle under it, sending more healing energy down to him.Â
"Where can I find or acquire this Flask?" Arius asked in an old, but soft and clear voice. "You need to tell me whatever I need to know to save your body or your soul."
"The Flask..." he mumbled, fighting through, "I can open a portal to it if I use the last of my strength, but that will destroy what's left of this one's time, and I would need you to step through and activate Project One, it's a lever on the metal wall. When this flask fades, I will be left vulnerable. The darkness will come. It must be quickly."

"They have their uses for hearts⌠So long as the magic still lives within them." he rested his hand over his own chest for a moment. A spark of energy jolted from his own fingertips into his chest. He reached in and with a grunt, pulled out his own heart, holding it almost too casually.
"Hearts have great power within them." his voice spoke but his lips did not move. The bodyâs eyes shut uselessly and remained tense and still.
"I am a heart without a body - this form is a copy of the original. My machine makes them. Because of my circumstance, I can sense the movements of predators who devour hearts, and I also have a power that can stop or at least harm them. The problem is, to activate that power, I must have access to them and their leaders."
She was sure that her face showed surprise at the heart that he was not holding free from his chest. It wasnât a skill that many possessed.  Her eyes flickered from the heart to his face as he spoke.  âI know that hearts hold powerâŚjust as you do.  What I donât understand is why you chose to come here.  You are  not taking the hearts with you, if that is your intent, regardless of this creature that seems to need them.â  Regina paused and her brow furrowed. âAccess to the hearts or the mystery beasts?â
"It wasn't my choice to come here," he assured her, putting his heart back into it's rightful place. "I go where the monsters go, and as this realm has had some unique anarchy lately, they're attracted to it. I don't wish to take your hearts. I have no use for it. I just want to kill those monsters who eat hearts, and your collection must look like a buffet for them."
He looked thoughtful, "consider it... personal, my reason for chasing them. But what you and your people get out of it is peace of mind - I either defeat them in your lands once and for all, or I cause them to retreat again, and I move on to the next target."
That got her attention. His look made her make one of her own with a tilt of her head. "Why would they needs hearts of those long since dead? What purpose would that serve. I barely remember who any of them are. That was my past..." Regina's eyes looked past him again to the wall where the machine was.
It was clear that the mention of taking the hearts was a personal thing to the queen whether she admitted it or not. Part of them were also her mother's collection. Her eyes returned to his. "So, tell me why.."

"What does a queen have if her people are removed from her service?" he became tense, almost angry, "these monsters will ravish the lands, destroy your people, and destroy you after you have no one left to protect you."Â
He took a breath to avoid any outbursts.
"You have enough power if you have any you can access. It doesnât take much to get it started⌠I have the power that destroys the beasts when they come. But I need to keep traveling, you see. Iâm not meant to be in this world. Itâs dangerous for my kind to stay here long."
"No one to serve me.  So whatâŚhalf of those people want to kill me.  So, let die," she said back and placed her hands on her hips as he continued.  Her jaw tensed.  He was playing a game of some kind and she didnât know what that was yet.  "You donât even know if I have the kind of magic or power that you need."  She narrowed her eyes and huffed a laugh at his last words.  Regina stepped forward, her eyes darkening.  What a marvel she must have been dressed in evil garb with epic hair styles.
"Dangerous?  Anywhere is dangerous to stay for a long time.  Why should I worry about you concerns.  I know nothing of youâŚ"
"They won't just take your people, my lady... They'll take your jar of hearts." he gave her a penetrating stare, "that is their end goal. To collect the hearts of the damned."Â

A small chuckle escaped his lips. âActually, I was hoping to ally myself with her.â He gave her a stiff bow, âyou see, my queen⌠thereâs something on itâs way to this realm that chases light wherever it hides. And that something will be very dangerous to the nonmagical people here. I bear the warning of their approach and I will fight alongside you, and in return, you lend me enough power to send my machine through to another threatened realm when its through here.âÂ
It seemed like his deal was very practiced. Heâs made it before.Â
Her face changed from a warning to one that would be called amusement.  Regina shook her head and laughed faintly to herself from his words.  âAlly yourself?  I you have the wrong queen,â she told him and met his eyes.  âWhat light?  And what makes you think that I care anything about nonmagical people,â she challenged him back.  Of course she cared, but she wasnât about give that part of herself to him.  Regina didnât know anything about him and for all she knewâŚhe was yet another magical being to come to this town to destroy rather than help.
This man words were almost as if he had said them a thousand times before.  That put a stiffness in her neck that set her senses on alert.  Regina couldnât quite pinpoint what it wasâŚbut she could feel that he was up to something more than trying to be her ally.  âWhat makes you think I have the power to make that-whatever it isâŚwork?â

"A powerful woman with a dark past." he spoke in a playfully cryptic way. He found the tilt of her head, her flared nostrils, and the uncomfortable purse of her lips to be absolutely delightful.
"Married to a King she never desired." he shrugged casually and walked over to the strange machine that rested between the realms - it was probably his mode of transportation. A large vial had residue, the same that was still in his hair, the vial was definitely large enough to put a person inside. The machine took up the entire wall of the room, where magic still fizzled and snapped defiantly. He went to the external control panel and hit a few buttons while he continued to speak, "my queen has darkened eyes but a powerful heart. Sheâll do whatever it takes to get her way at last."
The vial mechanically whizzed and whined as it disappeared into an internal part of this large machine. Through a small window, one could see the strange liquid filling back up. Across the screen, âProject S Phase 1 Auto-startâ flashed, and a bunch of technical words scrolled down below. It was building something in the same vial he must have come out of. Before she could get too distracted with that, however, he spoke again.Â
"My queen has a son, and my queen is a part of an unfortunate⌠pact⌠with a powerful but alarming being. You⌠seem a lot like her."
He got to her and it showed.  Her shoulders lifted and tensed.  Her eyes became blacker and her jawed tensed.  Of course she had noticed what he was doing, but she didnât understand it, but that was not her biggest concern.  He knew herâŚand that made her quite uncomfortable.  âYou are very perceptive,â she replied with sharp warning to her voice.  Regina didnât step a foot closer to him.  Everything in her being was on high alert by this point, especially since he knew about Henry.  She would let nothing happen to himâŚ
Regina narrowed her eyes at him and flexed her fingers at her sides. Â She wouldnât take her eyes off of him now. Â âSo, what do you want with this queen?â
A small chuckle escaped his lips. "Actually, I was hoping to ally myself with her." He gave her a stiff bow, "you see, my queen... there's something on it's way to this realm that chases light wherever it hides. "Towel"
Towel = âsend me the word âtowelâ to see my museâs reaction to seeing yours wearing only a towel.ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
"Looks like someone forgot to close the curtains~â he mumbled in a singsong way to himself from the gates. He debated on leaving for her modestyâs sake, but he had already been there all night, and as the sun rose that morning he decided a few more moments of spying wouldnât hurt anyone.
Regina pulled the towel a little closer at the sound of his voice and she turned around to face him with a look of annoyance.  âI didnât forget⌠I think you were looking for a way to see somethingâŚâ
He grinned cheekily, though knowing she could easily blow him to oblivion, he made his leave in a puff of black smoke! Probably back to the abandoned house. He took great amusement in the situation.
