Ha, yeah right. The main reason being I don’t want to hear the ‘I told you so’ he’s been waiting to say. I just came up with the idea so I have nothing so far. ‘Dennis I hope you get STDs’ could be a very great potential title. Thanks for that. I think a threat from Ben would be worse than what my brother would do, I wouldn’t be surprised if Dennis peed his pants. So, in that case I’ll work on it this weekend and then ask Ben for help.

So what did you tell him when he asked you about you and Dennis? Surely he asked you about it since then. Zephiro's exactly like Ben when it comes to people dating us. I like it too. You definitely should, Ben'd always be happy to help you out. Probably with a few bad words for your ex too.

I...I'm not sure it's a great idea to tell anyone yet. I'm just going to wait and see if it works out. But if it does, you'll be the first one to know, promise.

I think the same thing, honestly it could go either way. It’s been like this so long, since before our parents were born even and I just don’t see a way out. I wouldn’t be surprised if the government started regulating things more harshly and then before we know it our entire lives, family and friends are gone.

I mean, he's not dead right? I'm only wondering because you live in a gang but you don't seem to dislike him either so why would you be in a gang if you could live with your parents? Sorry if I'm being nosy. 

My uncle and aunt were supposed to leave Battery City years ago but then mom got pregnant with Ben and they wouldn't let them on their own. Although I suspect my uncle wouldn't have left without the entire family. Well my dad wouldn't let that happen. I do think we still have a backup family plan if things turn out worse than they are now. However I don't know if my older siblings would join us now.

He only wanted to sleep with me and he said if I didn’t he would leave me for some other girl he knew. Someone more mature his own age. I cried a little, but now I’m fine. And I’m realizing it would be great for a breakup song right? 

Um well I was going to beat around the bush about it but, Zephiro told me. He thought we might be having a sleepover because you were going to have the house to yourself. Are we having a sleepover that I’m not aware of or is it something or rather someone else?

Break-up songs are the best, did you come up with something already? I'm sure Ben'll be glad to check it out, although I can't promise he won't go on and also threaten your ex.  

Oh. I should have known Beppe would tell him first thing. I'm sorry Thalia but no we're not having a sleepover on Friday night. But yes I have a date. But I don't want Ben or Mari to know about it...yet.

I sure hope not. I'm not even sure I could survive at all. At least probably not without my siblings' help. 

I mean it seems we're getting somewhere but we never know what the Government might come up with to try and control us even more. What do you think?

No, I was half way done with it when I had to dump him because I realized what a total jackass he was. Whatever, I’m over it. I’ll write another, better song about a different guy.

Does that mean you want to be a chef when you’re older? Or is it just one of your many talents like piano?

Oh no, no I don't. 

I just do it for fun. And you know, to keep myself and my sibling from starving when our parents aren't home. It can come in handy if something bad happens...some day... We have to be prepared. It really isn't a talent though, more like a survival skill. I'm sure you have a few too.

All kinds of pastry, cupcakes, cookies, anything sweet basically. I mean I can cook quite a lot of salty dishes too but I like cooking sweet things better. Do you like to cook too? Me neither.

They have been useful in that department, you’re right. Scared off a few young soldiers, which is good enough for me. I definitely don’t think that’s all you are. 

How on earth do you do that? It sounds very impressive and delicious. Oh, you do keep your promises don’t you? I’ll be on my best behavior.

My mom taught me. She loves that kind of stuff. Oh it's really not that complicated believe me. Well a Parker always keeps its promises. Then it's a date.

Well I hope he won’t be disappointed he’s gonna miss out on watching it. I didn’t know gummy kaijus were involved, friday cannot come soon enough.

Oh really? I'm sorry about that. At least you can show them around as war scars. Can be pretty useful if people try to intimidate you. I know they always assume I'm the sweet daddy's girl who'd never had to fight for anything her whole life... It's annoying. 

Don't worry about him, he'll be just fine. And we'll be better off without him. Yeah I have a few skills, one of them being knowing how to make candies so that's something. And maybe if you're nice enough, which I don't doubt any second, I'll play the piano for you too.

Friday night is perfect. Oh, um alone is good I don’t really mind. Has he already seen it? If he’s already seen it I’d rather it just be the two of us so I can really experience it for the first time.

Oh yeah! Multiple times! He used to watch it everyday for months when he first found out about it. He's more obsessed than I am and believe me that's something! Then I'll give you the full experience. With gummy kaijus and stuff.

Amazing! I promise I won't talk while we're watching it. Is Friday night okay for you? My parents won't be home and I'm pretty sure I can get Z to take Beppe out too... Except if you'd...rather want us not to be alone. Though Beppe's usually very talkative during movie and can ruin it for you. But it's up to you.

Seriously? That's funny! When I was a kid we used to play dress-up with Beppe and the twins and I'd always be her. Or else I didn't play at all. Thalia used to get so mad at me for that because Leia was her favorite character too.

It's all kind of awesome! We have it at home, you should come by so we can watch it together! If you want to of course... 

And drift compatible actually means that you and your partner can pilot a Jaeger. Because it takes two minds to drive it so they have to be really in sync, like almost psychically linked...Sorry I didn't mean to spoil you that much I just- I love this movie a lot.

Yeah that's...from a movie. Maybe you've heard of it? It's called Pacific Rim? It's about monsters coming from the ocean and machines created by men to fight them.
