This was another play on the bun design from yesterday's doodle, "Boo Latte," based on Athena Yaniko's prompt suggestion, "pumpkin spice," on Facebook. 👻 I also really like the pumpkin buns pastry shaped with twine. Food is so much better when it's cuter! 🤭 💕 And who doesn't love sparkly tulle for Halloween? ✨️ What a great excuse to dress up!

Tribute to My Grandma.

My grandma passed yesterday morning, around 24 hours before the publication of this video. I believe that she held on long enough for me to make her dream come true of drawing her as "one of [my] pretty anime girls" in "one of [my] fancy dresses," which I tried to combine with dirndl and her wedding dress elements. "Just what I always wanted," was one of the last things she said to me. My mom tells me that she looked at the picture for a long time before she passed, as if she was heading to the castle. I hope that her sweet dog 🐕 guides her there through the field of dahlias, and Papa ----- is there waiting for her with a bouquet 💐 and long-awaited kiss for his princess. 💋👑 I'll love you forever, my sweet Sugar Plum Fairy Grandmother. 🧚🩰

Tried some Simply Sketched alcohol markers that I got for $7 at Burlington (about the price of a single Copic marker). The "pastel blue" is certainly not pastel (haha) but definitely has "pigmented ink" as advertised. None of the colors are "easy to blend," but the Copic colorless blender seems to work alright with them.

I've also been trying out the magic eraser tool on my phone's editing app to remove nearby sketches in my sketchbook. It's too bad that the default editing app on my phone is not very robust. I have a hard time getting a white background without eating away all of the soft colors, especially skin tones. I'm open to recommendations!
