it has dsjhfj i’ve been fine, just sorting out school stuff etc, and you? c:
I've been okay as well. Same with all the crap with school. I feel like I'm getting tired more easily now because of school.

[ i missed you ; ; hi it’s old ven / pearl, i’d love it if people started coming back here, even if they’re not /as/ active as before
Oh hey! It really has been a long time! I missed you too! ;A; So how are you? c:
Hi guys!
It's been a long while hasn't it? I'm not sure how active I can be for now. School and all that. But I think I need to try and be active here again. I feel bad for neglecting UPM Riku :c
Riku vs Sora: Racing.
keytolight:
“—-What?”
Cheap shot! Riku only took that shortcut because Sora did first! If that didn’t force him to run like his life depended on it, nothing would. Not even some Giant Heartless, that’s how into this race he was. Riku won the last one! Sora had to redeem himself, here; and he was going to do so by any means.
So maybe they both took shortcuts, whatever, that just meant they were on equal ground now. But the truth of the matter is, Sora is smaller and therefore faster and therefore going to book it to the finish line before anymore cheap shots can be made from the both of them. Period!
The beach was slowly getting closer, each step forcing him to pant accordingly. He was saving his breath rather than brag at this point- it was the finish line that was his main focus right now and nothing would stop him from reaching it, first or second.
But preferably first.
“…..!!!!”
And then the sand was a mere jump before him! The second he saw the beach begin and the forest end, the boy leaped into it, face first into the sand with his arms outstretched above him. He had literally thrown himself on to it, his body skidding a couple of feet down the beach as if he were a pebble on water.
He briefly lifted his face, spitting out the sand and catching his breath.
Did he win?
"Just because you have a particular shortcut, doesn't mean I don't!"
And so, this was probably one of the most fun races him and Sora had ever had in a long long time. They really didn't get much of an opportunity to race on the islands for the past couple years because, well, they both had their hands a little full. Whatever, mind set back on the race. He told himself he'd never lose to Sora, no matter what. His long time rival. He always imagined that he would outclass Sora in just about... Everything.
Running at full capacity, he was sure that he was going to beat Sora again. He could almost see the finish line from where he was!!! Surprisingly after all of that distance that he ran, he still wasn't the least bit tired. He'd become a lot more fit then he had originally imagined he would be.
In the distance, there it was. The finish line, he could finally see with his own two eyes. And also in the distance, he could see Sora. He was just about as close as Riku was to the finish line. He wasn't going to lose! He ran the fastest he had the whole race, hoping he would win, and within seconds he was across the finish line, but did he win?
But, Riku didn't win. He happened to cross the finish line at the exact same time as Sora did. This might have been the first time that they tied. Regardless, it was a good race. And he soon walked up to Sora, and gave him a nice pat on the back.
"Good job, man. That might have been the first time we've ever tied in a race. Oh well, I'm glad we had that race, though. It was really fun."

‘Cool’? That was new. Well, at least he knew how to pronounce it, which definitely counted for something. The detective relaxed her posture just slightly, eyeing him with curiousity.
“A few weeks, at most. I’m afraid keeping track of time can be rather difficult with the erratic weather,” she sighed, folding her arms across her chest. Weather, and the fact that the clock in her trailer had been broken.
“And yourself…? I take it you’re not a newcomer.”
Riku quickly nodded his head. He felt he had been here for way too long. What was it now, about 5 months? Sheesh. He then ruffled his hair a bit, paused, and then answered Naoto.
"A few weeks huh? That's not too bad, compared to how long I've been here. You're definitely right, I'm not a new comer. Nowhere near it. I arrived here almost 5 months ago. It's been a long and hellish stay, I can tell you that much."

revolveroyalty:
“The same to you, Riku. My name is Naoto Shirogane.” Glancing towards the man, she kept her usual distance but offered a hand in greeting. He was an unfamiliar face, after all; might as well show as much courtesy as was appropriate.
Riku nodded at the new face, and smiled slightly. To be honest, it had been a while since he actually greeted someone, and he figured it was high time to get out of that habit. Carefully combing his hand through his hair, he then began to speak again.
"Naoto. That's a pretty cool name, I have to say. You been here long?"

"So, in the time I've been gone, it looks like I lost quite a few followers. Oh well, at least I gained some new ones, right? Anyway, to the new people, hey, I'm Riku. It's nice to meet you all."
Riku vs Sora: Racing.
keytolight:
“I’m just getting started!” He shouted, his spiky hair bouncing as each step he took brought him closer and closer to the finish line— not that they had one! They were just racing to the beach, and though there were no docks for them to finish their competition on, Sora had already known where the beach shore ended with a cliff. His constant adventuring to the area resulting in the boy pretty much memorizing the area- and the routes to get there. Sora had already taken a clever shortcut, outsmarting his friend and taking the lead with ease.
Upon hearing the confident boasts of success behind him, the boy just laughed and continued on forward.
“Save it for the end, Riku!”
“It’s not over until I win!”
Best friend or not, the other boy knew how competitive Sora got; their rivalry being a prominent aspect of their friendship. Running through every world on his adventures left Sora in admirable shape and stamina- there was no way he’d lose now that he was up front.
"Oh, are you now? You're not gonna win this race, I'll tell you that much! I may be behind you right now, but it's not over until I win!" Riku was behind Sora it was true, but he was ready to catch up to him. Riku decided he would take his own little shortcut. He knew pretty much anyway you could get to the beach, so he ran in the direction of the shortcut.
"It was pretty clever of you to take that shortcut Sora, but guess what? I have my own little shortcut too, so I'll see you at the finish line! Good luck trying to beat me!"
Man, Riku really hadn't had this much fun in a long time. Being competitive with Sora is one of the things that made Sora and Riku best friends. Ever since they were just little kids, they always played racing games, and most of the time, Riku would win, so Riku could see why Sora was so determined to win this time. Riku wasn't nearly out of breath yet, so he kept running as fast as he could towards the finish line.

it’s a dream world event. basically, we’re all dreaming, we have powers back, there are these things called ‘specters’ which are evil… things… and the main people are gonna battle it out and shit. you had to sign up for main, so we’ll be minor.
Oh, okay. Thanks for explaining! c:
