She unveils the hard truth about controversial and unsettling topics, causing many of her viewers to form a particular bond to Kilbourne in admiration for her heroic honesty. Jean Kilbourne’s documentary, “Killing Us Softly” ties in beautifully with my argument essay topic on how Fashion Magazine Covers cause skew women’s self image and knowledge about what beauty is. She utilizes references as well as presents the information on how media disorients the true beauty of women in easy-to-understand and relatable ways. She is a credible source for me to form a stronger angle on my essay, as well as take her opinion on the topic as well.
