Lake: Last one. Go with grace.
Lake: my name might be Lake, but the ocean calls...
Justine
Lake: There is a darkness that consumes me. It walks hand in hand with the beast that lives inside of him.
Carys - Emmeline: beauty
I was the only window into our lives and even still, my curtains were always drawn.
Lake Rose
Lake: dream lucidly
Lake: Maldives and Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park in the Philippines.
On the Outside, Looking In.
I take Lake home on my way to the hospital, yesterday's paper in tow for Mrs. Postley. Three of the remaining Rose sisters lounge under a tree in the front yard; the tall, broad-chested, androgynous woman walking along one of the lower branches must be Beau, accompanied by another, dainty girl leaning against the trunk with her hair cascading down her back in ripples. This I imagine must be Carys-Emmeline, or perhaps Justine, and sketching the two cross legged on a stool in the snow is obviously Ainsley. All three girls pay no attention to us and with their pale skin and glittering eyes could easily be something out of a fairy tale; contemplative, ethereal and as always, an enigma.
