A Witch, A Newspaper Man, And An Island

Hey!! It’s the author here!! This is my blog for any updates for my novel, “The Emerald Coast,” and other silly extras here and there!!

This novel quite literally takes up so much space in my brain and I adore it to pieces.

For a little background, this novel is set on an island that predominately uses the languages Welsh, French, and English, and I’m currently learning Welsh(Southern Welsh to be exact) for this novel. Yes, I will be implementing a small dictionary for all my readers!!

It’s an island used as sanctuary for witches and other magical creatures, though the non-magical townspeople think they’re just seeing folklore legends(others just turn a blind eye, not wanting to disturb the peace the wixen have created on this island). The island, Émeraude Lis, was given its name by the deep green seas surrounding it, and its abundance of lilies that grow in the valleys.

The peace of this island is being threatened by a coven of dark witches forming in the island’s mountain range. It’s up to our introverted wixen friend, Valora(who’s genderfluid), and…her newspaper delivery man, Emrys, to band together a group of magical misfits to save Émeraude Lis, and restore the safety of the island.

I’m genderfluid and queer! I write mostly fantasy, but sometimes I’ll delve into sci-fi and mystery/thriller! I enjoy rotting in bed with my cats, riding my bike to the beach, and playing my guitar in the forest.

I’m genuinely crawling my way into uni right now, so wish me luck/silly
