I imagine what this would change concretely is that he's much much older than in the movie. Considering how much he already hates being a spirit in the beginning of the movie that's uh probably not goooood.

He also has a different death. I like to imagine that he's still angry at his murderer, but since he doesn't have his memories he's just angry without knowing why. He might come to the conclusion that he was created like that for whatever reason.

The bow essentially acts like the staff but to make a storm he has to break off an arrow head (wink wink nudge nudge) infinite magic supply of arrows though! I think with the added time he has mastered his magic to a higher degree than in the movie. Maybe he can make snow deer (wink), or something similar to the night mares
