My favorite Iron Bull is the Iron Bull who doesn’t have time for anyone’s toxic masculinity. He likes pink because it’s pretty, he owns his sexuality, he feels his emotions (physically. With the Feelings Stick) and he doesn’t get caught up in whether men look or act a certain way.

He’s intelligent, he can be gentle, he gets honestly excited, he loves his friends. He doesn’t apologize for any of it.

I may have finally gotten housing!

// Through a local trans group I met a couple who were looking for someone to rent a room to. They even want me to pay less than i offered. I know one of the women from college.  So hopefully by the end of the month i will be at the new place and get settled in soon after that. Also they have four dogs. Two of which are apparently super cuddly. With all this in mind I will hopefully be less stressed soon and will be able to handle coming back to write.

Hey fun times I have until the end of next month to find a place to live. :D Seriously fuck everything. I’ve been paying 400$ a month for half a bed and no real privacy only to get kicked out... I just. I’m so so done. At this rate I will either be back in my crazy mother’s on her couch or have to go back to my dad who kicked me out and hope it doesn’t happen again along with him trying to control my money.

Today, I got my final edits back from the ever wonderful Fairyluna Photography from DragonCon.  Having her work with my Punk Dorian was an absolute delight.  She genuinely cares about her model and the character and does her level best to marry concept with technical perfection.  She’s absolutely charming and what’s more, she always manages to make me look like more of a badass than I actually am.

Better housing plans fell through not just once but twice, guys. Big part of why I still haven’t returned. >: Just too much stress because of it. I got completely stood up by someone I was supposed to meet up with for a roommate interview thing of sorts and they wouldn’t return any calls or anything after we got the meeting set up. I kind of feel like I got punked maybe? regardless it sucks. The first apartment that was so excited about that would have just been mine fell through for more  complicated reasons. All around it’s been very depressing. You can feel free to message me.  Take care, everyone.

Every time a post on queerplatonic relationships makes its way around tumblr, the comments are inevitably filled with a flood of “IT’S CALLED FRIENDSHIP” or “WHY DO YOU NEED A WORD FOR THIS.”

Do you honestly think society regards friendship as an acceptable substitute for romance and marriage?  The thing is, most aros would LOVE if it could just be called friendship.

Because that would mean a world where:

Friendships are considered equal to or sometimes *SHOCK HORROR* more important than romantic relationships.  This is not an exceptional occurrence.

Romantic partners know that they might not be their datemate’s Most Important Person and are not bothered by this.

People commonly plan major life events around their friends up to and including housing, finances, employment, ect.

It is common for people to be in their 30s, 40s, 50s, hell even old age having lived with friends that entire time and no one has ever asked them why they’re not married.

It is common for people to have a committed lifelong partnership with their friend and no one bats an eye.

Having a life friend is considered something that can be regarded as equally close to marriage.  It is also taken just as seriously.

Until the day that those are true, friendship is unfortunately not an accurate word to convey the types of relationships we’re talking about.
