Wow tonight was a bust but I feel like I ran marathon. I work at a chain restaurant and didn't get home until 12:45 either way I wanted to share with you my shift meal. Today I had a hot buttered lobster roll. Now, I know what you are thinking there's no way a chain restaurant would have mildly decent lobster on their menu (unless you work at a red lobster *which I do not) but my restaurant does and I have been I lobster heaven until June comes around and they rip it away from my buttery fingers. This hot buttered lobster roll is apart of a dish called "the hot buttered downeaster combo" it comes with a 5 inch lobster boat on a sweet potato roll, seafood chowder, fries and coleslaw. I on the other hand said fuck all of that and just got the roll because let's get serious that's all you want when you order anything with lobster in it. So I went in the back room with my lobster roll and looked at it like it was the holy fucking grail of food because i was starving, once I smothered it in melted butter I dove in. O..m..g the first bite is sweet because of the roll then the lobster and butter kicks the Bread right off the planet and takes over its so tender and perfectly cooked. I do wish the pieces of lobster were cut smaller but that's my tiny mouths fault not the sandwich. All n' all i really really love this lobster roll, two thumbs up to my kitchen staff tonight.
Opinions on manna house korean restaurant: I worked at a Korean restaurant in northampton called SOORA and in my opinion it WAS the best Korean food around and since their closing I've been searching for the same taste and quality and love put into the dishes I grew to love so much. Then I found manna house today I ate Hamul pancake: scallions and squid (I added shrimp) pancake served Korean style is nice and fluffy but crispy around edges as it should be, reminded me of sooras famous pancakes and I almost died inside during my first bite of manna's it was spot on. I saved a lot of it to enjoy later. The jabche (sweet potato noodles and mixed veg) served over a portion of rice (because who doesn't love double starch) was flavorful and cooked to perfection. One thing I liked was they didn't add mushrooms to it but I felt like it lacked the beef flavor like SOORAS due to the fact there was no meat in it, BUT none of the less it was absolutely delicious and a wonderful quiet lunch during my "ME party" I'll definitely be going back again :3
