Niall Horan CHAD CANNON is nineteen years old and a band member in Hollywood. He was born and raised in Hermosa Beach, California and is best known for being the guitarist in Toxic Youth.
New to town with a made up name…
Some people are born to break the rules. They have a smooth tongue and they always know how to talk their way out of any trouble they get in. Everyone loves their outgoing and confident personality and it is as if that person has some sort of gravitational pull that make everyone want to be their friend. Then there’s the people who follow all the rules and envy the ones who are able to go against authority so easily. That’s Chad. With an older brother who constantly got into trouble, Chad grew up thinking following the rules would just be the easier route, rather than being grounded every weekend for something stupid. He always did all his homework and aced nearly every test he took. He never once lied to his parents about where he was going or what he was doing, which resulted in him never really going out because his parents would never let him go to parties if he asked. He didn’t have many friends due to being labeled as the goody-two shoes, but he didn’t really mind. He’d rather stay in and study, get his diploma, and then go to Stanford after he graduated. That was his plan. People constantly told him that he should live a little, that going to Stanford was just his parents’ dreams that he didn’t need to fulfill if he didn’t want to. However, going to Stanford and becoming a lawyer is exactly what Chad wanted to do. Up until he was a senior in high school. That’s when he met Beckett Allen. He had already known of Beckett, the kid who was always ditching class and getting high. He was warned to stay away, but he was intrigued the very moment he started talking to him. He learned that Beckett played the drums and Chad quickly began talking about music, and the two became friends. Before graduation, while they were sitting on Chad’s bed (Beckett smoking, Chad just strumming on his guitar attempting not to inhale the smoke) Beckett thought of the idea of forming a band. Chad eagerly agreed, and thus Toxic Youth was formed. They started out local, before meeting another guy that happened to be looking for a band. The three of them toured around the small cities in California, until one night a man talked to them after the concert, saying he wanted to work with them. That was their first big break. Chad is still known as the innocent one of the group, he still does his best to follow the rules and please their management. He doesn’t drink or smoke, instead always being the designated driver for both Daniel and Beckett. He doesn’t mind it much though, because he’s in a band. And better yet, he’s famous.

Beckett Allen ⇨ Best Friend/Band Mate ⇨ Beckett was always someone Chad admired from afar, all throughout high school. It wasn’t until they were seniors that they really started talking. The two are nothing alike and even to this day Chad’s parents insist that Beckett is a bad influence on him, and while he probably is, Chad just doesn’t care. Beckett is the best thing that’s ever happened to him, he’s the one who got Chad where he is now. People don’t quite understand their friendship, many think Chad is just being used. But Chad knows Beckett means well, he knows that he’s the best friend a boy could ask for. And he appreciates him.
Daniel Weston ⇨ Close Friend/Band Mate ⇨ Because Daniel came along after Beckett, it was only natural that Chad be closer to Beckett. However, that isn’t to say that these two boys aren’t close. Chad looks at Daniel as an older brother. The boy is mature yet still fun and knows how to have a good time. And being around Daniel makes him feel protected, like all those nasty, clawing paparazzi can never get to him as long as Danny is by his side. While he loves the fame, Chad has never really liked the fact that people chase him around with cameras, and he’s always thankful that Daniel is there to get them away from him.
Carson Sands ⇨ Crush ⇨ Chad and Carson met at a mutual friend’s party and right off the bat he knew he wanted her. She was the prettiest girl he’d ever laid eyes on and if he didn’t have her he didn’t want anyone else to. Though usually not very confident, Daniel had given him the boost he needed to go talk to her and to his surprise, they really hit it off. The two text twenty-four/seven and are always flirty with each other, especially on twitter.
Landon White ⇨ Rival ⇨ Chad met Landon through Carson, and he always wished he hadn’t. Carson had made him sound like the best person ever (which, although he wouldn’t admit, Chad was a bit jealous about) but he was really just an asshole. He hates how close Landon his with Carson because he knows she deserves better. While many fans think their twitter fights are just friendly banter, Chad is serious about nearly everything he says to the boy.
