Later today, which happens to be my 19th birthday, I will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. In that sacrament, the other candidates and I acknowledge that: the journey of the Holy Spirit becomes our journey (represented by the Three Oils); Jesus is our strength in that journey (represented by the Bread and Wine); and we carry Christ in to the world (represented by the Cross).
