Morning
Morning
COVID
The pandemic has affected every one of us. Some deal with it better, some worse.
My grandpa, for example, is extremely scared. He is aware of his health issues, the risk-group and the complications of the disease. He worries a lot, and that affects me and grandma as well. We are more easy going in this question, and try to ease him as much as possible. And so to distract him from the negative thoughts, I organized an evening that we could spend together. He said he wanted to try to cook something for grandma, and so that is what we did.
It was so much fun! He enjoyed the time, and so did I. Why have I never done it before? We should make it a routine.
Fare
My little sister has never been to a fare, and once one came to our city no once could take here there. Parents were busy working, and nanny wasn`t feeling well. I thought she couldn`t miss out her first fare experience, so I took everything needed, and me went to the fest.
Before actually going there, I prepared a little program that we could follow, including 2 parks, one cafe and concluding - the fare (Learning outcome preparation and investigation).
My other sister volunteered to help me, since she handles babies better than I do, and I happily accepted her offer (learning outcome collaborative work). Later I would find out, that without her I would not manage the smallest sister (my yet another weakness - handling babies. Learning outcome identify strengths and weaknesses).
But the fare was lovely, we had a great time. A lot of patience is needed to comprehend my sister, but that is just another chance to work on myself (Learning outcome determination and growth).
Caves
Inspired by horror movies and thrillers, I thought it would be fascinating to visit caves; make, so to say, a trip. I organized a group of people to accompany me. We have prepared some food, maps, took light and backpacks and went to explore the nature (Learning outcome planning and preparation).
We went to the salt caves, which I believe are extremely old. For that reason we made sure not to leave any garbage or damage the cave. We tried to be as respectful to the ancient spirits as we could (Learning outcome considering ethics).
It is a great place for spiritual enrichment, self-reflection space or a place for a murder criminal. In any case I had the greatest time! After having some rest, we almost ended up getting lost in the tunnels. A good thing - we met a man who new how to navigate the cave, and so his help and cooperation saved us from circling around (Learning outcome 5, collaborative work).
After all it was a great experience. I plan on doing such short trips every so often.
Construction
When it gets too hard, and I need to empty out my had, I like to sew. Making clothes is not only a technical task, it is also creative, and in my case heavily relying on intuition.
So far I have altered lots of jackets, cropped sweaters and pants, made shirts and even hats. Practice makes perfect, they say. Supporting this recycling cycle, I was selfishly proud to lessen my contribution to the mass production, to thrift, remake, reuse, change - to be sustainable. However he day has come when I decided to create something new from scratch - second life is amazing, but I am more than that, I can create new without being limited by the old. Eventually inspired by a designer Cecilie Bahnsen, I tried to recreate her coat. However without instructions all I had is the model with a fairly complex product. Right after the project was complete, I was very happy about it, but decided to put it away and come back to it in a week, to freshly assess the result. And so, in a week I created a list of bullet points, pinpointing the strengths and weaknesses of my performance, what and how I could and should improve.
And that is how I discovered a completely new field in the sewing industry. The template construction. It is pure math on fabric, attempting to deconstruct the volume onto the flat surface.
I found myself a tailor who agreed to teach me, and thus, the learning begins.
City Project
Recently I met a lady, who told be she has seen some of my projects in graphical design. She mentioned how much she liked them, and asked whether I would like to offer my service for her project.
Turned out it is a huge company working with mayors and the President. What they do is promote smaller cities in scarcity, try to draw in younger people and find new labor force. They reimagine the existing town in a modernized and an up to date version, working on such aspects as education (improving schools), spiritual growth (introducing galleries, museums, parks), implementing sport in the everyday life (invest in the sport playgrounds, stadiums and running routes, etc.) Their website:
https://bcl.com.ua/
My first task was to work with their website and create icons to match the aesthetic of the page. The results are:
Simple, yet appealing. The project was simple, but that was only a first step. Now, I am entrusted with a whole webpage. Creating a website, I am addressing people on the behalf of the city Mayor of Slavutich, trying to attract new workers as the communication experts. Not only am I working with the design, but also with the content. This demand much more thorough approach, which I am undertaking. Constantly in touch with an advisor, I send her my progress for her to criticize and comment on it, for the best result. Yet again, digital design and text writing skills are made use of (Learning outcome 1). It is an extremely serious and thus challenging project of a great importance, so everything has to be done very delicately yet with a great productivity (Learning outcome 2). The planning and investigation in the face of reading on the history of the city, looking at the population, the labor force, the targeted audience, digital design trends etc. are also paid great attention to (Learning outcome 3, 4). Collaborative work provides more perspectives, enhancing the quality of the product (Learning outcome 5). The project itself addresses such global issues as unemployment, scarcity, city improvement and resources reallocation (Learning outcome 6).
Cecilie Bahnsen
Recently I have got inspired by one of Cecilie`s winter collections, and really wanted to purchase one of her coats. But I, ineed, do not have 2000$ for a piece of clothes. Consequently, the decision was made to recreate it. In this way I:
a) Get a coat
b) Have something to pour my creative energy into
c) Recycle fabric
d) Have fun
The collection strongly reminds me of 한복 (hanbok), traditional Korean dress.
So I purchased 2 blankets, and taking my other jacket as a basis, since I love the way it was modeled. I surfed the Youtube and found a lady who did about similar, so I may take some advices from her. This one will require a lot of planning.
After days of determined work, my progress looked something like:
It looked fine, but technically was very poorly done. This is due to the lack of experience, no external help and lack of instructions (a lot of intuition).
I finished the project, but will definitely revise it in the future.
This experiences gave a drastic boost of confidence in my sewing hobby, and proved to me how much I adore the activity (Learning outcome 1). This was nothing but a challenge, with no guideline, no advice and experience of making something from a scratch. The challenges were in constructing the outline, measuring, fitting it on myself, making straight stitches, making everything even, gather the fabric, etc. (Learning outcome 2). I did lots of measurements and ratios in order to actually start sewing (Learning outcome 3). I pulled it through to the very end (Learning outcome 4).
Plastic waste pact
It`s true what they say – the less you know the better you sleep. Every day I learn more and more about plastic waste from the news, articles, movies and books. And if not, then I try to educate myself about it more. What are advantages and disadvantages? As far as I am concerned – it is crucial for humanity, even irreplaceable. But you become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. And thus, I try to reduce plastic waste whenever I can. Following I made a pact, both with myself and my sister. Me and my sister are avoiding plastic once there is an alternative: once-time-use forks, drinking straws, shopping bags, bottles, honey jar, shampoo/ shower gel – to paper, bamboo, glass. Is it more expansive? Definitely. Is it worth it? More than certain. The one who gets deceived by the price – loses.
The pact with myself differs. Hereby a pick up any trash I stumble upon on the streets, with exception of degradable material such as food, paper, etc. Plastic and metal from cans and food packages are the most common. What makes people throw it away, not making those 20m to the trashcan? In any case in the run of 2 last weeks I`ve probably picked up more trash than personally produced during this time period. Funny, is it not?
Additionally, I am separating the trash now – plastic waste, cardboard and rest. Being the President of the dormitory, I raised the idea of garbage separation in the dorm rooms. I am aware that students would most likely hate the idea of EVEN MORE RESPONSIBILITIES, therefore this ‘campaign’ would not be mandatory, yet the most active members would get incentives from the dormitory. The idea was disproved, and thus – fail. Should I have be more persistent? Come up with better argumentation?
The pact made me more aware of the issue, made me realize that environment is something one can educate oneself about, constantly discovering new aspects and perspectives (Learning outcomes 1,2). It demand patience and determination, not to ignore the trash laying on the road. However deal is a deal, and thus I am sticking to the rules to the very end (Learning outcome 4). The collaborative work is really underestimated - it is highly motivating to know that you are not alone in this notion, that someone else shares the duty of picking up the garbage. Also giving a promise to someone else is not the same as giving a promise to yourself (Learning outcome 5). The global issue of environmental pollution is critical, and yet the global issue of ignorance is even worse. Recently I saw I road sign, that said a very wise thing “Clean is not where people pick up trash, clean is where people do not leave litter about’. (Learning outcome 6). After all, it is not only about humanity and aesthetics of a city, it is about flora and fauna, about other creatures and Earth generally one should think of (Learning outcome 7).
Gift
Someone I know asked me to help him out with a present for his girlfriend for their anniversary (3 months together), and I kindly agreed. The task is to paint them on a T-Shirt, which he will give to her as a gift. After multiple design ideas, I tried each of them in the photoshop, using a reference picture of their couple.
I accounted his every suggestion. On the revision sessions that I organized, he asked for multiple corrections to the design, and commented on the style. Altering the work to his liking, the work turned out not exactly what I desired to see, but it was about him after all, not about me.
The process took about a week, all the planning and altering considered. After the design was ready, I printed it on the special paper, and then attached it to the T`Shirt applying heat.
He said she cried.
This project was yet another chance for me to practice my creative skills and improve the execution (Learning outcome 1). With the new drawing style favored by this friend, it took me several tries to achieve the result he approved, since this is not the style I would normally draw in (Learning outcome 2). The planning took longer than the drawing, but that is for the higher quality of the outcome (Learning outcome 3). Getting feedback was a crucial part here, thus every revision session was necessary. For the future, I shall implement the concept of revision in every project, engaging a third party to comment and criticize my work (Learning outcome 5). Last but not least, this activity contributed to the well being of a human (or even two of them), bringing emotional pleasure and strengthening the relationship of a couple (Learning outcome 6).
President
I am running for the Dorm President to represent students` interests.
I hope to contribute to the policies, and altogether, make as much as I can while I am still here. First things first, I am eager to encourage waste separation in the rooms.
Separate paper bins, to recycle paper. I am very well aware that probably no one would fancy the idea, thus there is a need for an incentive. Therefor, the Idea was to conduct a weekly evaluation of the best waste separation performance, and then give a little prize from the dorm – a good quality snack or a treat, maybe?
Also, creating an anonymous webpage, where people would directly address me their ideas, issues or suggestions.
Even if at this point my leadership qualities are not as clear as president would ideally require, this is a great opportunity for me to push myself to the limits, exit the comfort zone and work in such fields as human recourse management, prioritization of issues/ questions, public speeches, creative thinking, etc. (Learning outcome 1). With no prior governing experience, the whole ruling situation was new to me, and it took me a couple of days to adjust to the power I now have. But, with great power comes great responsibility, and thus the whole experience shall strengthen my core and improve my responsible handling of issues (Learning outcome 2). Clearly, I had to talk to authorities and meet all the requirements to become a candidate. And after that further research and investigation to promote my campaign (Learning outcome 3.4). Targeting every minority group, I had to somehow reassure their support. To do that, I worked collaboratively with bunch of people, who each had connections with one group or another, providing me support in every corner of hour dormitory social structure (Learning outcome 5). My main postulate is being just and decent. I want no corruption, no discrimination or oppression. Some decisions would be hard to make, but the main criteria for the verdict making is the productivity of the community. This is a worldwide politics on a micro scale, but such questions as corruption and wars are relevant everywhere. And although I think they could not be possible averted, they shall be regulated and fully controlled (Learning outcome 6, 7).
Environment
Lately I`ve been interested in growing plants. Hence, my little project is to try and grow some decent plants. The goals are:
· Enhance the skill responsibility realization
· Make use of food waste
· Have fun!
I started off with:
1. Lemon tree
From a lemon I took seeds. Half of them planted directly into the soil, and another half I germinated.
2. Tomato
Half seeds I picked out, put into soil, another half I left to rot in tomato slices, which I directly have put into the soil.
3. Lemongrass
Bought already grown onions (?), which I cut the leaves from, and placed into water.
4. Avocado
Extracted the seed, put in water
5. Quinoa
Bought in grocery, and placed into the soil. I am aiming at microgreens, but may actually let some of them grow out.
6. Kiwi
Extracted the seeds (painful process), germinated’. Apparently, it is said to be a long process. Hope I will remain patient and dedicated no matter what.
7. Ginger
Took ginger root, put into water
8. Strawberry
Cut thin slices with seeds and put into soil
9. Blueberry
Extracted seeds from half (took hours…), germinated. Another half directly in the soil.
10. Grapes
Took the seeds, germinated. Wanted to plant a stick (?), but could not find any.
11. Camomille
Actually, I just planted a teabag! Not sure if it works, curios to find out.
12. Fenchel
Same thing as Camomile
`About 3-4 weeks update.
1. Lemon tree – never grew an inch, the seedlings rotted and died. Is it because it is store bought? I took care of them as prescribed, but they never grew. Change methods – different seeds, different soil.
2. Tomato – success. They grew healthy and kept growing. I repotted them, and now part is growing under LED lights, part under the sunlight. I give them all the love in the world.
3. Lemongrass – died. It was perfectly fine, until it started rot. I then put it in the soil, but it dried dead. Look for different methods, water more? Different soil? Do a better investigation.
4. Avocado - is still in process. The seedling only broke, and I am waiting for a sprout to come out. Patience.
5. Quinoa - died completely. I planned to leave it as microgreen, but it stopped growing, and died at a young stage. Do a better investigation on the length of microgreen period.
6. Kiwi – rotten. Never sprouted
7. Ginger – someone through it away! Should I start a murderer case investigation?
8. Strawberry – never grew. I think it needed more water.
9. Blueberry – failure. This was the hardest one, so I never even raised high hopes for that one. Maybe try buying seeds specifically for planting, I guess it would work better.
10. Grapes – rotten
11. Camommille – does not grow from a tea bag. Myth busted.
12. Fenchel – same as for Kamille, does not grow from a regular tea bag.
All in all, my tomatoes and Avocado are all I am left with. I think I messed up repotting, since they seem to become weaker and weaker. Have I damaged the root system? I don`t know…
I also purchased LED, since they are as energy efficient as possible. By this means I am addressing the environmental issues, such as energy waste.
As the project is still progressing, I still develop my gardening skills, learn how to take care of another living organism and eve more so - how to do it properly (Learning outcome 1). It has been a long way, with a lot of fallen heroes (RIP lemongrass), and with each death I challenge myself to provide an even better environment for those remained alive (Learning outcome 2). The dormitory objected first, prohibiting me to plant in my room. However, with nothing valid or meaningful to say, they lost the battle, whereby I was protecting my rights to grow plants in my very own room. (Learning outcome 2, 3, 4). From times to times leaving to Berlin to complete my exams, a friend of mine was in charge of watering and giving out love to the plants - without the collaborative work, even the avocado would not make it through (Learning outcome 5). After all, the whole project is about sustainability, food waste and ecological leaving. Once I read an article about vertical gardening, harvesting in urban districts and generally a more eco-friendly lifestyle. It ties together with my project, addressing such global issues as pollution, urbanization causing environmental disruptions, waste, etc. For myself, I want to make at least a small contribution to the listed issues (Learning outcome 6). Last but not list, poring love into something material increases one`s abilities of self love. Looking after the world triggers looking after yourself. (Learning outcome 7).
Article
I am a subscriber of a Ukrainian scientific news outlet (online) that keeps me more or less updated on the scientific topics and current state in Ukraine. It posted an article once, telling how women are discriminated and pushed aside in the context of science.
That, I believe, is a misinterpretation. Women are indeed underrepresented, however not due to a discrimination or male-provoked conflicts, but due to other factors such as the way they were brought up, societal norms and expectations, personal convictions, etc. I wrote a letter, sharing my disagreement with the formulation of the article, how it was inaccurate and in some instances even unjust to men.
Four days after, the media channel replies, offering me a column in their feed dedicated to this particular question - women being underrepresented and science. And I started to write.
Three weeks of research, investigation and readings: multiple interviews with Ukrainian scientists, university attendants and professors; hours spent online and in library in search for historically significant female scientists as well as numerical data of male-female ratios, etc.
The finished work was 3 pages long, including graphs and statistics, conducted interviews among the universities students asking for an insight to the educational status quo.
The Channel posted my column, with a highly positive feedback from the editor. I am myself satisfied with the outcome - without sounding like extreme feminist, I delivered a message of women underrepresentation in science and encouraged the audience to revise their bias and stereotypes about science, and the male-female role within it.
My strength hereby is sharing an openminded and credible information, developing my text writing and assembling skills (Learning outcome 1). The investigation lasted 3 weeks, extremely thorough and as deep as I could get. Conducting interviews and surveys were yet another challenge (Learning outcome 2), but the thorough planning, meetings arrangement and generally time management was set already better than I used to (Learning outcome 3). Throughout the process there was not a single instance when I wanted to give up the project (although I did take a pause of 2 days) (Learning outcome 4). Without collaborative work I would have never collected as much insights and personal opinions as I did, widening the range of the perspectives provided in my article (Learning outcome 5). The issue itself is globally significant, in that the worldwide scientific community has a lesser female part in comparison to the male part, making the difference vivid. Especially certain patriarchal regions exhibit extreme underrepresentation, caused by the oppressive nature of the families structure and gender stereotypes. (Learning outcome 6). Last but not least, although the article was dedicated to women and their lack in STEM, the text clearly states that men shall not be accused of that any more than women. Both genders have their own influence, and responsibilities of both shall be accounted for, avoiding extreme feminism or men hatred. (Learning outcome 7).
Design
A clumsy friend of mine was unfortunate enough to stain her favorite top. To hide the accident, she took the paint to cover it up with. Without prior knowledge of fabric behavior and specific paints and stains relationship, it quickly became an even worse mess.
She came to me with a favor, asking me to fix the top if possible. That is how my project began.
For the next couple of days, I had been searching for the design and approaches I wanted to undertake. Using photoshop I tried out different ideas deciding for what I want, and how I want it.
To cover the stains with even more paint would make the surface hard and not bending, due to all the layers. A better option is to hide it with a patch or embroidery.
Another week or so I was embroidering separate piece of cloth to then stitch it on top. Repeating the same mistake twice and stitching the front and the back sides together, I had to restart everything.
But in the end, the friend was absolutely happy with it.
This experience reinforced my strength in design and sawing, proving of what I am capable of (Learning outcome 1). The whole process, from the design to the execution was challenging, since the fabric with such a high stretch factor was a new media for me, where I had to account for the flexibility of the material (Learning outcome 2). Therefore, the planning and investigation took longer than expected, and was more thorough than I planned. However, without it the outcome would not be as good as it was (Learning outcome 3). The twice repeated mistake was an unfortunate thing, but remaining determined is of a higher priority when learning (Learning outcome 4). New media and designs let me practice new skills and experience former unknown media (Learning outcome 5).
Safety
In Warsaw, about 500m away from my apartment, an amazing festival was taking place – The night food market. All kinds of food and people were there. And by a lucky coincidence, my friends, being extremely aware of the COVID19 risks, had bought more then enough masks, gloves and disinfectants. In fact, so much they didn’t even know what to do with all of them (it becomes a syndrome I think). And since we decided to go to the fare (following all protection suggestions), we brought about 90-100 face masks, which we gave away for people who didn’t bring any (no charging).
I contacted the organization beforehand, emailed the health and security department to get the approval. The whole process took about 6 days, and it was the third day of the fest that we were able to perform the act.
Each of us received a name card, and we have worn it like a medal.
Not everyone realizes the danger of the disease, and the responsibility in fromnt of the community each of us carries. By offering the masks to the newcomers, we were a symbol of awareness, reminding people that if we care about their health, they should do no less than that.
With the long investigation my communication have critically improved (the headmaster did not want to allow our little campaign at first, but being persistent and defending my point of view with argumentation, we won this battle and were allowed to contribute to the overall well-being of a smaller community somewhere in Warsaw.
This experience allowed me to identify the areas I want to grow in - higher social contribution (Learning outcome 1). The challenges that I undertook, in that fighting for the allowance and defending my point, made me push myself and develop new skills of communication and persuasive techniques (Learning outcome 2). In order to make it all come to life, a lot of planning, investigation and research was done, letting me practice my planning skills (Learning outcome 3). I showed commitment finishing the project and pushing through to the very last mask (Learning outcome 5). With the direct impact on other people, the main idea of the activity was to make people aware and reassure that people follow the health instructions and do not endanger public health. (Learning outcome 6). Lastly, the symbolic impact we possibly had on attendants may have motivated them to act or self-reflect, triggering an awareness chain reaction (Learning outcome 7).
Holiday Cooking
Me and my dear friends went to Poland for vacation. With all the money and no supervision that we had, it came as a no surprise that the food consumed was McDonalds, KFC, takeouts etc. Side note: since we, teenagers and young adults if I may, are in search for themselves, shall I say that self love comes with self care, and thus, we decided to lead a healthier lifestyle. Having had several consultations with a dietician, endocrinologist and grandparents, in addition to loads of books that we purchased, we came up with a plan of our food-consuming-habits-changes. Less fried, more plants, etc. The results were:
1. Tomatoes, omelette, broccoli, chicken. Was perfectly done for my taste. Wouldn’t change a thing
2. Khachapuri with chicken breast. The chicken breast is a good energy source, but melted cheese is way too heavy for a stomach. Next time choose food with less cheese. It still was a great teamwork, and the pleasure we`ve got from eating was worth the cheese.
3. Pyrogi/ Pirogi with meat. Since we went to Poland, we felt obliged to try and make Perogy by ourselves. It was followed by some cultural enrichment - we went into long debates over dumplings and their origins, and read up how this dish is connected (originated) from which country and culture. Here I had some further thoughts in connection to our English Literature lessons (the way food enriches and supports the culture, being an agent of unity and bond between people of differing cultural backgrounds). Anyway, they turned out pretty bad. Uneven, some were under- and some overcooked, the meat was cheap and tasted like cardboard. It also takes lots of time to make them, so the personal reflection over the process will follow at the end.
4. Rice with veggies, soy sauce and I some meat. With eastern origins (although fused with European cuisine), it was more of a lesson for me, to see and learn eastern culture through taste
5. Zucchini sticks with homemade honey mustard sauce. This was awesome, but we had to change the instruction a little bit, and substituted deep frying with baking.
6. Then more Zucchini with home-made bread (no yeast) and eggs benedict
7. Asparagus, steamed tomatoes, eggs
8. One of the biggest projects – Beef Wellington. That was fun! Totally worked together, were checking with the multiple sources and all in all – had fun
9. Braised pork with vegetables and Mac`n`Cheese again
10. Home-made croissants with tuna and tomatoes. Instant reflection - I should do more investigation before actually cooking (used wrong dough)
11. Zucchini (actually a twin sibling of Zucchini, but much more beloved and eaten in Slavic kitchen) with mayo and tomatoes. What would I change here, is actually the entire dish. Incredibly greasy, with flour, mayo (!!). It is just too much wrong decisions. Alternatively substitute frying with backing, and mayo with seasoned Greek yogurt (or homemade mayo).
But the dish triggers some memories in me, from when I was little and we had home parties with relatives. We had some nostalgia time, shared our childhood experiences…
12. English muffins without stuffing. This is just a really nice way to start a day. They are simple, basic and yet superb. Got withing few minutes. Not really much to reflect on, a total success.
13. Portuguese egg tarts, a.k.a. Pastéis de Nata. Simple, delicious. Instant reflection session - be more dedicated. I went away for about 15 minutes to finish a chapter in my book, and couple of them got burnt… Still edible though.
Reflection:
This was a great project, both implying its size and emotional impact it had. Although I cannot assess out physical state, but with filtered food you have filtered thoughts! I certainly got healthier attitude, more energy and cleaner nutrients. Throughout the process I gained a lot of knowledge of food value, the criteria one should choose the ration and benefits of each food.
The project frequently was at the risk, for fast- and instant food are still captivating and hard to resist. Therefore, I grew patience and self control, got a clearer head with a better self-management skills and determination. Apart from that, the planning was the main part of the whole experience, demanding beforehand research, investigation and thorough structuring. Initiating the project and bringing it to life was a hard yet highly healthy exercise. And without the support from my friends, I would not achieve as good of a result as I did. The collaborative work is an art one has to learn to master, but once obtained - it becomes endlessly beneficial for every party.
Most importantly, it gave me insights on such fields as Nutritient Science, Cooking and Photographing. Drawn into the process I was inspired to continue cooking and recording my path. Therefore, I create a website as a distinct CAS experience, where I will share my cooking journey.
http://foodforcasone.tilda.ws/ - the link to the future site
Comparing the starting with the ending point, I can see how much I have improved, in both the understanding of food, its preparation and the execution of the composition in the photography that I do.
In any case, the journey has only begun.
First cooking experience
My sister lacks the basic cooking skills. And even though I encourage her to give it a try, since cooking, I believe, is a question of practice (although there are certainly gifted people), she still is not so much interested in cooking as in eating.
I, in contrary, love cooking more, so I agreed. Yet, I do admit that I failed as well. The question is why.
To start off, I guess it was my overconfidence. I had no recipe, and trying to figure it out on my own wasn’t a very clever idea. I had lots of fun though, and moreover, my sister did okay after eating the dish, no food poisoning. So, in the end it could have been much worse.
But what could be done better?
Read instructions
Ask for help (grandma)
More patience, try again until succeed
However, don’t be fooled and don’t judge the book by its cover. Sirniki, the cottage cheese fritters, turned out pretty good, I even had some of them. They are a healthy breakfast if one is looking for complex carbohydrates, to have a longer lasting energy source that does not transfer to fat.
So to have a better results, I shall keep challenging myself, I shall extent my cooking skills, stay more determined. In theory I could engage *someone* in the process, for the collaborative work here might benefit the outcome.
