"Then I assume this is a good day for you?" She asked, giving a small laugh. "Because you’re doing pretty well so far. I mean, at least on the outside. I would see what’s going on in that head of yours, but that would be rude."
"I think you're a bit too generous with your compliments if you pay me on on my people skills." He said, partially joking and blushed a little. "Wait you're a telepath?"
"Yeah, I am. Eh — science isn’t for everyone. It’s a distinct taste." Jean cocked her head to the side, listening to Scott as she walked beside him. "Ten months, huh? Well it makes me feel better that we won’t get lost." She jeered. "Hey, maybe you could be a tour guide one day."
"I memorized the map on the second day so I wouldn't get lost." He admitted with a sheepish smile. "tour guide? My people skills aren't nearly good enough on a good day."
"Well, isn’t that what High School’s about? Trying to find where you belong and stuff like that? I know that I want to get my PhD in Psychology or Genetics. Or maybe both. But that’ll take hella long." Jean smiled and followed Scott. "So how long have you been here?"
"So you're really into science? I can't say it's my strong suit but I got a B in chemistry so I suppose I could do worse." He said with a shrug. "Oh I've been here almost a year. 10 months to be exact."

Well that’s a good way to be! How about…any cool powers? People your friends with?
I have optic blasts but that's far from impressive around here. And when it comes to friends I guess the people I'm closest to are Darcy, Clint, Alex, and Emma. What about you?

Scott, have you ever been told you’re an incredibly good person?
No I haven't actually but the sentiment means a lot. You're no so bad yourself, Carol.
"Oh I’m sure it will. If you’re planning on being a fashion designer of course." Jean shook Scott’s hand, giving one small nod at him as well. After a few awkward seconds, she let go and picked up her bags. "So Mr.Summers, shall we venture towards the dorms?"
“I think I’d get fired on my first day if I was to take up a job like that. I actually have no clue what I want to do in the future though to be honest.” He shrugged a little. He was sure he’d figure it out sometime but at the moment he was lost on the thought. “Oh uh yeah of course, this way.”
"Well hey, it’s progress. I mean if you’re gonna go to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s school, you might as well learn as much as you can about anything! I’m Jean by the way." She introduced herself, extending her hand out to him.
“I’m sure my newfound minimal knowledge of designers will get me quite far in life.” He replied, keeping up their friendly back and forth. “I’m Scott Summers. Pleasure to meet you, Jean.” He said, nodding his head a little and shaking her hand.
"Ah. Is that why you wear those retro glasses?" She asked with a small smile. "And here I thought you were just a fashion nut."
“Of course I’m a fashion nut. Don’t my bargain brand sweaters say that exactly?” He said and laughed a little. “Seriously, I only learned ‘Chanel’ was actually a thing this year and that was after I called it ‘Channel’”
"Is that why you ended up here at the school?" She smiled. "Intuition?" Jean started to get curious as to what her dorm room would look like, and to meet her room mate.
"Uh not exactly. My optic blasts may have something more to do with that." He said, offering her a small but friendly smile. Of course saying he was actually SHIELD's rescue mission was more accurate but he didn't really need to get into that.
"Well shoot, my cover is broken." She teased and gave a small nod. "Yeah. You know — I thought I would be able to get away with it and find my way through, but the campus is bigger than I expected it to be."
"Maybe I'm just intuitive." He responded jokingly. "Oh believe me I know. It's huge. My dorm room is almost the size of the kitchen at the place I grew up."
"Hi, sorry to bother you, but do you mind pointing me towards the girl’s dormitory?"
