Rain: A Drabble ||Peter & Maria||
They say April showers bring May flowers, but they never talk about all the storms durning that time. It had been raining for a few days now. All the student were stuck inside focused on trying not to get too bored on the inside. Peter had enough of this lazying about with nothing to do. Who said you can’t play in the rain? Who cares if you get rained on, or even get sick? “To hell with this!!!!” He jumped out of bed and ran out the door as quickly as possible with no proper rain gear at all. It was time to have a little fun. He ran outside screaming and yelling from excitement, but it wasn’t enough for him to be out there alone. Someone else needed to be out there, someone like his girlfriend. Without hesitation he ran over to the girls dorms and bolted inside. Waving at whoever he saw, oh the looks he got. One girl even asked, “Are you going wipe your feet off? You better not leave a trail.” But he paid no mind to them and their remarks as he reached Maria’s door. He knocked on it praying she’d be there and luckily she was. She answered the door promptly, but gave Peter a bizarre look as to why he was all wet. “Umm is everything alright Petey?” “Oh, everything is perfect. But I need you to change, or at least get some pants and shoes on.” “First of all, why are you wet?! What if you sick, and second of all you better not be thinking of taking me out there with you.” “I’m wet because I..had an emergency and I needed your help. And I wouldn't dream of taking you out in the rain. Now would you come with me? Please?” He said with a smirk. “Alright fine. But no funny business. Wait here.” Maria walked back into her room to change her attire for something more appropriate. Rain boots and a jacket. She wasn’t fooled by his tricks but decided to play along. After she was done she headed out back to the door with Peter, but before she could say a word he picked her on his pack and ran downstairs to go outside. “I said I wouldn’t take you outside, but I’d drag you out there!!” As he finished his sentence they were both out there door and into the rain. He let her down softly and smiled at her with the rain falling down on them. “So What’dya think?” “Are you crazy!?! You’re gonna catch a cold out here!” “And if I do, you can take care of me.” Maria stood their and blushed, he wasn’t wrong on that part. “Then I guess you’ll have to take care of me too.” She took of her jacket and jumped into his arms and he caught he with ease. It was something straight out of a movie scene. The dumb romantic types, but better. Peter pressed his lips against hers and forgot about the rain around them. As long as they were together, nothing else mattered.
