Dreamy ambient melody quartet White-Line Fever were on the show just hours before their Sweeney’s gig as they are currently on tour. The band are based in Cork City and formed in 2014 when two brothers Abbas & Ali Bracken  teamed up with bassist Louise Wild and drummer Evan Prendergast. Their debut EP Anomie was recorded in Youghal with producer John Burke in December 2014. A new release is on the rise..keep your eyes and ears pealed.

Bagels 18.02.16

Dublin based band Bagels were on the show to perform a few acoustic songs that are set to be released as singles this year. The band consists of members Adam Redmond, Jack Rudden, Daniel McIntyre, Kieran Byrne and Jamie Kealy. They have played a lot of gigs all over Ireland during the past five years. Junior Brother 28/01/16

Junior Brother ( Ronan Kealy)  is a Dublin based Singer-Songwriter originally from County Kerry.  Kealy began songwriting from an early age and was involved in various musical projects.  He has gigged all over Ireland and released an EP “Sleeping at The Bottom of the Sea” in 2013. The Shades are a 5 piece rock'n'roll/blues band from West Dublin/Kildare. Two members played three acoustic songs live on this Fluffy Noise show. Formed in late 2013, they gigged over the course of 2014 and beyond.  Their favourite gig so far has been performing at the Body and Soul festival on the My House stage. The Shades are Donagh Cadogan, Stefan Byrne, David Bellew, Mikey Treacy and Mark Lynch. This show was recorded two days before The Shades performed in Sweeney’s alongside The Urges and The Strypes.

Their next gig is in The Pavilion, Belfast on October 23rd. Check them out!

Cult Called Man are a 5 piece band from Meath. They have played a lot of gigs since breaking out onto the music scene in Dublin during 2013. They have played festivals such as Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions and Knockanstockan.  Their first EP is called “Shoot Me ( Its Just TV )”.  They ranked in the top 5 of the Hot Press Big Break competition out of thousands of unsigned bands. They were also selected as an ‘expert pick’ for the Guinness Amplify project by esteemed judges such as Stuart Clark, Niall Byrne, David Kitt and Jonny Quinn (Snow Patrol).  Their first nationwide tour was called 'The Mr Wednesdae Tour'.  They record with their longtime friend and producer, Lancelot Smith at Camelot Studios. Catch them play a headline gig at Whelans, Dublin on October 1st. They will also be performing at this years Hard Working Class Heroes Festival.

Áine Cahill is a 21 year old singer songwriter from County Cavan. She was nominated for Best Female Solo Act by Pure Magazine. Her debut EP, Paper Crown was named best Irish EP of 2014 by Unsigned and Independent music magazine. Áine’s began playing piano at sixteen and recorded her first song when she was 18. The first song recorded is called “White Piano” , a song about Marilyn Monroe losing her mother at a young age. Laurie Shaw is a Liverpool born singer - songwriter residing in Kerry.  He was on the show to talk about his most recent album “Working Nights”.  The Fluffy Noise Show has changed from Friday to Thursday and it now airs between 5 - 6 pm every week. Laurie Shaw has written over 50 albums and is an extremely prolific writer at the age of 20.  Listen to the podcast to hear Laurie Shaw play live acoustic songs.  He has played a couple of gigs in Cork and will be playing the Radiomade tent at Valentia Isle Festival in Kerry this summer.
