"Hmm, I’m fine~" Rin smiled, stroking the blond’s hair and pressing the kid closer to himself, trying to repel bad memories by focusing on the small demon. He was aching painfully from the beating he’d gotten earlier and his stomach was churning painfully. It seems like getting kicked in the stomach and having not eaten anything in two days didn’t mix well… The raven sighed softly, resting his head on top of Usamaro’s and nuzzling the soft blond strands, inhaling the demon’s scent. He felt calmer and happier already…

Usamaro was happy to be with Rin “I have to stay here for a while.” Usamaro hoped it didn’t bug Rin.

"Oh… I-It’s okay, th-this is your home too, after all…" The raven said quietly, his voice slightly strained as he felt his throat close up with anxiety and dread. This was bad. This was bad. He normally wouldn’t have had any problems with Usamaro staying with him, but under these circumstances…

It was dangerous.

Yukio wouldn’t like this. He hated demons no matter how small or defenseless they were, and he would never hesistate to kill one. He could… He could hurt Usamaro… Just the thought was enought to make his stomach churn and clench painfully, his hold on the small demon tightening. He clutched the other to his chest as if trying to protect him, caressing the boy’s blond hair in an attempt to sooth himself.
