Hi there bbs! I was wondering if you could give me a blog rate + advice? I was fresh/modern but I changes style and now I miss fresh so much so I came back but dunno if my blog looks good rn :) <3 thanks for reading x

You have a really lovely blog so far, and you have chosen a very minimal theme which ideal to build upon. I think you should perhaps add some more personal touches to your design, for example hover tab, banner and maybe a lil’ about me page. You could also add a background to your blog, as well as chose a pretty colour scheme to base your blog on and try to experiment with different fonts. Finally if you’re thinking of keeping your blog as a fresh style, then maybe choose to have a more colourful icon that suits the posts. Hope this advice helps!

Hello love! Firstly look for: .popup_block{  in your html code & somewhere just underneath that you should find: background:#fff;

To add an image as the background, you need to change #fff and replace that with url(IMAGE URL) & copy/paste the url of your desired image.

Hi I really want to change my blog because everyone has those triangles, that border and those flag tabs but I don't really know what would look good with my posts. Any suggestions? xoxo Marieke

Hello! If you’re feeling that you want a new look to your blog, then I would suggest changing up your theme completely - it’s super fun to experiment with a more unique look. 

Although, if you would like to simple add elements to your current design, then I would suggest looking at other blogs for inspiration. You could maybe add pop ups, animation, different fonts, new colour schemes, a favicon, an ‘about me’ page etc etc.

advice: increase the size of the banner and lower entire header down a little bit, add minimalistic post borders (light or dark grey maybe?) and make your description a bit shorter (put some info in your tab instead?)

Hello love! Here is some advice for your blog:

You have a really cool blog, I like the bubble tabs & the pop ups. But, I think it would be better if you have a strong colour scheme to stick to, at the moment you have a few different colors & patterns going on. I think generally more color would make your blog ‘pop’, so maybe think about removing some of the heavy black borders you have. Overall an amazing blog and I’m so jealous of your popups :)

hi!! changing the amount of columns in a theme is very complicated, and how to change the number successfully depends on each individual theme, depending on how the basic code was made– so i don’t recommend changing the number of columns. instead, you can trying changing the padding between the posts and the margin in the .entry{ portion of your coding, which may help you with your problem better than changing the number of columns x

Advice: In love with your banner and it fits your colour scheme really nicely. I also like your 'n e o n' bubble tabs, but I think you could change the Comic Sans to a different font and colour. You could also use a different font to your navigation links, and on your 'links' popup make the font for the links slightly bigger. But overall, a really lovely blog with only little things to change!

your blog is pretty original and nice, so there's not much advice to be offered. perhaps change the font of the navigation link banners? they're not very easy to read and somehow doesn't go with the navigation's whole aesthetic. in addition, perhaps change up the post borders? i think if you do a lighter red/decrease the shadow/or do a solid border it would look less harsh and less green. at the moment, the color scheme is kind of unbalanced. in addition, change the font of the permalink on post hover so it's more of a fresh/modern font x

Advice: I literally am the biggest fan of your posts, they're seriously gorg! Also you have some hella rad popups. I think you could give your bubbles tabs a little touch up: the orange writing over the pattern is a little hard to read & doesn't make the headings stand out, I don't love the dashes for the border and I think you could change the X's to the background pattern of your banner. Other than that your blog is looking on point, as usual! :)

advice: throughout your whole blog, try to emphasize the orange/pink color scheme, in particular, the orange. maybe move the posts further up, closer to the navigation? the bubble tabs could use a bit of customizing, ie change subheading's line colors, etc. i like how you use a white background- usually on for a lot of people it makes the blog look empty but i think it plays well with your modern, bright posts! x

millie: Helloo Mette! I think your new banner is pretty awesome and looks super cute with your bubble tab icons. Although now to match your banner you should change you the colour of the scroll bar & lines in your bubble tab to a lighter/peachy pink. Also on your fask page I think it would be cute to have your icon as the image :) xx

astrid: hey mette! i agree with what millie advised above ^ as per usual, your blog makeover looks great! but along with the above advice, i think you should play upon the colors more! you have a set pink/blue color scheme going on, but i think there's one more color you can subtly work into there! for example in your banner, there's some visible yellow, near the V and I, so perhaps you can use that third color for the third triangle on the left, or perhaps in your bubble tab subheadings, or your scrollbar? really, if you play around with it i'm sure you'll be able to find the perfect acccent of yellow! (or you can also play around with the light green you already has as the triangle, just play it up more! xx
