ME!
I’m in my early 30s, in alright shape, but a little extra fat that’s hanging around. I had at fitblr a few years ago and it kept me accountable for my actions and I’m hoping this will do the same. I don’t have a set program, as I enjoy mountain biking, cycling, hiking, and other activities that are not conducive to a strict program. I previously completed 5/3/1 and had a 350lb squat, 425 deadlift, 205 bench (shitty elbows), and a 150lb OHP.
I found that I am not built to be a powerlifter, nor train with in a traditional powerlifting program. I have small joints, and a small bone structure, which makes it difficult to stay healthy at heavier weights. I’ve been fairly active my entire life, playing mostly basketball growing up. My goals now are to just be healthy and eat better. I really don’t care about looking good for the ladies, as I have one I’ve been married to almost 10 years.
I graduated high school weight a whopping 135lbs at 5′11. Then I gained weight during college, getting to be a fat and out of shape 210lbs a few years later. I then dropped down to 160lbs and actually had a 6-pack for a month, before I realized I enjoyed food too much. I jumped back up to 200lbs, then dropped down to 180lbs and was in okay shape. During my 5/3/1 phase, I got up to almost 240lbs, but was stronger than I’ve ever been. However, I also got winded walking up the stairs. I’m currently just under 220lbs and I’m hoping to get close to about 200lbs.
Oh yeah, I’m a cop (so I’m not gonna be one of those creepers trying to ask for nudes of girls on the internet) as well, which the line of work isn’t really conducive to eating healthy and exercising due to shift work. I have a wife and daughter I’d like to stick around for and I’m looking forward to a long life.
