Evening everyone!
As part of a bit of a blog reset, I've sidelined a bunch of previous characters of mine. I have also made a call to introduce four different new muses to try to revitalize a bit.
Normal character rules for my blog still exist. All of my characters will have notable fantasy elements because I enjoy that stuff, but if you don't want to interact with that, just say as much. It is okay!
Additionally, all of the new muses I'll be introducing are going to have three essential verses: Modern Fantasy/Urban Fantasy, Modern non-magical, and Traditional Fantasy.
That being said, meet Evan!
Character Name: Evan Benson
Notable Fantasy Element: Electricity magic
(FC Brenton Thwaites)
In Evan's particular case, the modern and modern fantasy verses are very similar.
Evan's father passed when he was fifteen, leaving him with two younger sisters, a sickly mother, and a lot of responsibility.
He was, for a long time, the poster child for hard work paying off. He got a full ride to a good school on an academic scholarship, paid the bills working every spare moment he could in the electronics store his father left behind, and even got the family business mostly out of debt.
After a long while, though, the stress began to get to him, and there were no longer really avenues for him to focus that hard work into notable gains. What had been a continuous stream of clear goals became a nebulous, frustrating cloud of problems to solve, and he turned toward isolation.
Right now in Evan's life, he's just trying to get his sisters through high school, find a way to manage his schedule at work better, and start to build a real social life.
Meanwhile, in a more traditional fantasy setting, Evan is a court mage. His job is to solve problems for the King wherever he can, act as an advisor when asked, and keep his head down.
He does a serviceable job, and is likely to be found in his spare time wherever a quiet, sunny bench can be found. The rare moments in life where there is no crisis and some peace is available are Evan's favorites.
