Bruce and Dick in Young Justice (1/3) - Batman and Robin

The first season and the tie-in comic of Young Justice featured quite a few interactions between Dick and Bruce. It isn't surprising then that most of the romantic and platonic fanwork featuring this version of them takes place during their Batman and Robin days.

In this post and the following, we wish to highlight a few scenes that might inspire you to write for the BruDick Week 2022 Day 3 Prompt: Young Justice.

Dick becomes part of Bruce's family as always.

After fighting against Mr. Freeze, Bruce brings Dick to the Hall of Justice. The sidekicks are invited to visit the League's headquarters.

The team of young heroes, especially now that Superboy has joined them, isn't sanctioned right away. Bruce takes his time to decide.

Young Justice (2011) #11 - #13

Bruce and Dick fight against Talia and Ra's, showcasing why they are called the Dynamic Duo. It goes well enough. Bruce doesn't even care that Dick accidentally murdered Ra's al-Ghul.

Young Justice (2011) #12

Clayface is involved with the al-Ghul as well. Fighting the newly pit-enhanced villain doesn't go as well for the Dynamic Duo.

Young Justice 1x8

After the fight against, you know it, Clayface, leaves the team defeated, Bruce comes to their rescue. Back at Mount Justice, he speaks to Kaldur about his performance. Dick gets jealous of the attention when he is dismissed without a further word. Bruce makes it up to him with a basketball game.

ok I honestly did not think I would be saying this but season 4 of young justice is nothing like the trainwreck that was season 3 and it’s actually really, really fucking good.

if you dropped the show, i seriously recommend picking it back up. it’s worth it. young justice phantoms is the young justice we all knew and loved 10 years ago.
