It’s arguably one of the less nerdy channels which Gemma finds herself watching some evenings (hello, Trafikverket), but nevertheless ‘Techmoan’ is a YouTube channel which covers multimedia formats and hardware in some fascinating detail - as recommended on episode 64 of our podcast. This look at the German-made Tefifon format from the 1950s shows some astounding innovations and wonderful uses for what is almost a vinyl-style music format, played from a cassette.
Gemma may be involved in a wearable game project built upon an Arduino Gemma (fitting!), but arming a LittleBits-powered tentacle with a Swiss army knife seems just that bit more daring...

Spoiler alert! As recommended by Laura in episode 53, this is fan-made project related to Undertale’s boss fight.
As mentioned in episode 53, Gemma had the privilege of seeing Prof. Sakamoto perform (FAMICOM helmet and all) at Stockholm’s Tekniska Museet. This is a track from his concept album, for a space shmup which does not yet exist.
Gemma’s happy find from the day episode 51 was recorded: a literal piece of Stockholm’s tunnelbana! Discarded by the fence at Kymlinge ghost station, and brought home to become a statement piece paperweight: every bit as nerdy as it is heavy.
