This man will never stop showing his ass, it must be pathologic.
I appreciate YouTuber Lindybeige's schtick of being a British man talking history as much as the next guy, but claiming that Napoleon is THE MOST EVIL MAN IN HISTORY is, like, classic butthurt British nonsense.
It only makes sense as a reflexive reification of irrelevant ancient rivalries (French ambition as a threat to Britain), and also strategically ignores how old-fashioned intra-European wars of conquest were pretty banal. Oh, wow, this country tried to conquer that country via a large military invasion? I guess that’s never happened before!
And if you do want to talk Great Evils in History, oh boy, have I got some amazing things about the British Empire to tell you.
big if true
I greatly enjoyed this video. Some key moments for me:
“I'm in a wood. A rather pretty wood. And a rather special kind of wood. But more about that later."
"Some creature has been digging here, I don't know what creature and I don't know what for."
"Oops, they're paying attention to me, time to leave"
“Yes, those are rhododendrons”
And many more. You have so many happy moments ahead of you.
Duel of the bitches - when characters say one thing and mean another - YouTube A scene in which nothing happens can be very important. Many great scenes are about what the characters are not saying.
Margaery: "Mother-in-law! You are old." Cersei: "And you're a slut. And a power crazed one"
Somehow, it’s just feel more rightful than the original dialogue…
Finally! Someone is asking the important questions.
